Gravi-Cask at the Black Dog, Whitstable, 12/10/19. Amber pour with a decent egg shell white head. Nose is dried fruits, caramel, biscuit malts, toasted grains, faint spice. Taste comprises toffee, dusty fruits, brown bread, light spice, cheesecake base. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Fine for the style.

Bottle from The Bowl Hastingleigh and drunk at home. Very dark brown black beer. Lasting tan head. Some liquorice some chocolate some molasses on aroma. Some blackcurrant. Oh dear. In the mouth some newspaper. Some more juicy dark fruit. Not a great beer. Oh, it's a black IPA? Really ? Not my thing.
