Flavour has a strange, almost oxidized grape character, with apple skins, light funk, and some tart notes. A bit off but there’s some nice things going on. Decent.

Bottle pour at Barmann Cellars, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of tart pear skins, pear core, acidity, and tannins. Flavour is dry and lightly tart, with pear skins, pear core, and a hint of tannins. Tannic, tart, and pear cores on the finish. Pleasant enough.

2024 vintage. Bottle pour at Barmann Cellars, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose is bone dry, with plenty of tannins, champagne-like effervescence, and crisp apple skins—not noticing the honey. Flavour has some fermented out honey, crisp apple skins, and light tannins. Dry, bright, and clean. Solid.

Flavour is bone dry, with really nice red apple tannins, moderate funk, and light puckering character. Super dry, tannic and deep. This is great.

Bottle pour at Barmann Cellars, pours a hazy peachy dull pink with a small white head. Aroma has lots of dry musty apple skins, a touch of red grape, and champagne-like effervescence. Flavour is dry and vinous, with a nice dry grape skin character, musty apple skins, and champagne-like effervescence. A bit muddled but I really like the marriage of the grapes and apples. Very good.

Bottle pour at Barmann Cellars, pours a hazy bright golden with a small white head. Aroma is complex, with lots of red apple skins, moderate tannins, and a touch of wild yeast. Flavour is very dry, somewhat muted, with light tannins, red apple skins, and a touch of champagne-like effervescence. Not as complex as some of their other products, as it’s a bit muted. But it’s nicely constructed.

Bottle pour at Barmann Cellars, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of funky apple and pear skins, a fermented out honey character, and a touch of oak. Flavour is oaky and dry, with lots of musty apple skins, light champagne-like effervescence, and a touch of funk. Oaky, dry, lightly effervescent finish, with fairly low residual sugar. Not as complex as it could be but very competently done.

On tap at Garden Path - Bellingham, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is full of farmhouse wild yeast, crisp apple skins, and light floral notes. Flavour is lightly tart, with farmhouse funk, crisp apple skins, and a touch of apple core. Nice wild yeast profile, finishing dry and buggy. Excellent.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a deep dark red with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with rich plums, tart apples, wild yeast, and some grape must. Flavour is very fruity, buggy and complex, with a wonderful mixture of grape and plums on top of the apples, with lots of bugs, and wild musty greatness. Excellent.
