750 bottle courtesy of SuzyGreenberg at Uber Tavern. Pour is cloudy orange golden. Aroma of fruity sweet grass. Taste is really nicely melded, soft sweetness, fruity orange hoppiness. Finish has some slight heat, doesn’t detract at all though. Palate is medium, holds up to the big flavors but is still quite drinkable. Nice beer.

Another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer, this time 10400. A reddish amber beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit especially citrus fruits, grapefruits and limes as well as notes of brettanomyces giving it a slight acidity. The flavor is a mixture of sweet and sour - the sourness is like a very sour grapefruit, but also with notes of peaches, brettanomyces, hay, and grass, leading to a quite dry and tart finish. Nice.

(Tasted twice at Pikkulintu, on 2008-04-18 and on 2008-04-22 ) Pitch black. Good sized brown head. Alchol and some fruitiness in nose. Alcohol in palate. Fruity taste containing black currant flavours. Some chocolate. Roasted malts which give some bitterness. Light sweetness. Hops. Too young, probably.

Oak, dry, malty, roasted, alcohol taste. Hot warming alcohol feeling. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Some dandelion inside (when you lick it). There were 7 of us on this, we didn’t finish the bottle. My wife ended up drinking it to her pizza. Bottle, 12.0%. Sweet caramelly aroma, there seems to be some hop in there, too. Seemingly clear dark brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour starts off very caramelly and smooth. Turns into a sharp, but not unpleasant, alcohol bitterness. Finishes with a little cleansing hop bitterness and some grassy aroma hop. Mild carbonation, suitable. A rough beer, but I like it.
