About
Foam. It's always been an unconscious calling like drifting into a cumulus cloud bank on a sun-drenched day, or collapsing in a frothy curl of a breaking wave. Foam; it's natural beauty that rises up and is here and gone in a moment in time. I have spent my working life in foam, beer foam that is, brewing beer, conjuring up mixtures of malt and hops to ferment into a crowning moment of beer. Great beer has always sat under foam. Foam. It's not one ingredient that gives stability; it's many interwoven to create a structure of strength pouring out visual excitement. As I sit for a time, I enjoy that moment. All that remains is the lacing that adorns the empty glass and the making of a great memory. Until next time, see you under the Foam...

Appearance: golden yellow/orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some lace
Aroma: sweet cherry to tart cherry, some guava & mango, then a healthy dose of lactose
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine tart to sweet quality with a lighter tone of sour rising from underneath; finishes cherry-ish and guava-like
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being sessionable; light smoothness with some light tart stabs to the tongue
Overall: very nicely done fruited tart ale I would welcome again.

Appearance: copper color with a quickly dissipating white foamy head which didn't leave any lace
Aroma: light honey, lemon, some mango & papaya tones then an even light dose of ginger
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to tart and subtle spicy quality; finishes with the mangoes & papaya notes showing a little bit of a sour quality to it
Texture: light to medium bodied, slightly sessionable; some smoothness but also a little bit of the ginger snapping against the tongue
Overall: a bit different for a sour/wild ale but I mostly liked it. Pretty sure I could give this another shot.

Appearance: copper color with a slim cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated practically immediately and barely left any lace
Aroma: funky to lemony to grapefruity tart with some oak and light peachy tones; subtle Bretty/sour notes
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fair sour to tart quality with a light funky to sweet vibe underneath; finishes semi-sour with an ample tart but even keeled sort of sweet tone with the peaches
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; some smoothness but also slight aggression from the tart/sour tones - still - mostly low on that aggression
Overall: a very nicely done sour/wild ale from Foam I would return to.

Aroma: tangerine, orangey, subtle starfruit and a light whiff of some lemon; light clean malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet semi-juicy quality; finishes tangerine-like, orangey and lemony hop toned
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; good length of smoothness with a little bit of dryness, nice low carb and low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: I say a nicely done NEDIPA very worthy of returning to.

Appearance: jet black in the pour and stays the same in the glass with a two finger tan foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: big roasty sweet eloquently aged cacao nibs with a stellar sweet earthy coffee roastiness; subtle maple syrup scent underneath then a lighter whiff of some milk chocolate and dark chocolate
Flavor: combines all the prior noted aromas to a fine creamy sweet and roasty sweet coffee, bourbon and chocolatey delight; finishes roasty and sweet coffee with earthy sweetness, the bourbon and the milk chocolate
Texture: medium to full bodied, this is a sipper! extremely smooth along the tongue; the carb level seems right where it should be
Overall: hot damn! It really doesn't get better than this.

Aroma: peaches, white grapes, star fruit, and mixed citrusy hops mesh with a light malt base
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet juicy vibe to a very nicely done bittersweet juicy quality; finishes with the peaches, white grapes and the star fruit tones, light dryness
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; very smooth along the tongue; nice low carb and a nice low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: another smackdown of a NEDIPA! What an absolutely awesome NEDIPA!

Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; very smooth along the tongue and nice low carb; very little hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: yup, what a beer! Though I smelled the vanilla and/or lactose and tasted a little bit of it, it really doesn't affect much else. So daggum good!

Aroma: subtle lemony tones, mixed citrusy zest, some floral, herbal and earthy hoppy tones in the middle then a nice biscuity malty tone underneath
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine hop spiced & zesty vibe to a mild malty backing; finishes leaning into the malts first then a subtle pop from those hops
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good amount of smoothness along the tongue
Overall: I can see this as a New Zealand pilsener and I would welcome this again.
