About
Foam. It's always been an unconscious calling like drifting into a cumulus cloud bank on a sun-drenched day, or collapsing in a frothy curl of a breaking wave. Foam; it's natural beauty that rises up and is here and gone in a moment in time. I have spent my working life in foam, beer foam that is, brewing beer, conjuring up mixtures of malt and hops to ferment into a crowning moment of beer. Great beer has always sat under foam. Foam. It's not one ingredient that gives stability; it's many interwoven to create a structure of strength pouring out visual excitement. As I sit for a time, I enjoy that moment. All that remains is the lacing that adorns the empty glass and the making of a great memory. Until next time, see you under the Foam...

Can to tulip.
Appearance: nice looking pale orangey haziness with a two finger white foamy head which tapered off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: mixed citrusy to pineapple-y to tangerine-like & grapefruity hops; light clean malts
Flavor: takes the prior noted aromas to mesh together in a sweet to semi-bittersweet sort of way; finishes by leaning into the grapefruity & tangerine-like hops
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; very smooth along the tongue to the point it gets very mobile
Overall: great aromas & flavors but don't let this beer get under the mobile stage because anything less means watery and we don't want that to happen, Foam, now do we? Hmmmm...

Appearance: golden orange color with a quarter finger of white foamy head which dissipated then barely left any lace
Aroma: guava tart to subtle sweet tones, clean herbal whiffs of the sage, citrusy dustiness, subtle lemon and a little bit of floral
Flavor: the guava tartness seems to have opened up into more of a clean sour quality with the lemon coming on a bit stronger, sage takes more of a backseat then the finish seems to lean into the sourness of the guava with the lemon, the sage and the floral parts all there
Texture: light to medium bodied, trying to be a sipper but somehow something seems to feel like I could chug this, hmmmm....well, this is semi-smooth along the tongue as the sour to tart tones seem to be pushed back a bit
Overall: a very nicely done sour ale I would welcome again.

Appearance: jet black in color with two fingers of dark tan foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet black coffee with roastiness and a fabulous earthy subsiding note to the coffee (woweee, daggum, boy is that deep or what!); luscious milk chocolate deepening this aromatic groove with some dark chocolate and vanilla beans with the practically perfect level of lactose - nothing overbearing
Flavor: what a practically perfect balanced blend of the prior noted aromas which follows through into the finish - sweet and roasty
Texture: medium to full bodied, this is definitely a sipper; and this is so extremely smooth along the tongue
Overall: this is probably one of Foam's best impy stouts they ever brewed, really hope they bring this one back!
