16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/18/2017. Pours lightly hazy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of tangerine, apricot, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, white grape, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper/pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/tropical/citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, apricot, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, white grape, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, apricot, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, white grape, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrus/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is a very good IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/citrus/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Drinks more like a regular IPA than the NEIPA that was advertised. No haze, bitterness is fairly moderate. Very juicy and fairly dank hop complexity, with a nice solid bready malt backbone. A very enjoyable offering otherwise.

can, rated last January - Lightly hazy gold pour, aroma of wheat, citrus, and spices. The flavor is similar and on the sweet side. It's refreshing though slightly underwhelming overall.

22 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 2/10/2017. Pours crystal clear deep ruby red/brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, apricot, apple, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, and toasted brown bread; with light nuttiness, chocolate, bourbon, charred oak, herbal, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and light-moderate bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, apricot, apple, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, and toasted brown bread; with light nuttiness, chocolate, bourbon, charred oak, herbal, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, apricot, apple, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, toasted brown bread, bourbon, oak, light herbal/pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and light-moderate bourbon barrel flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Slightly drying from bitter/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy, and slightly sticky/chalky/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden; a lightly increasing warmth, with zero barrel booziness after the finish. Overall this is a very nice barrel aged old ale style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and light-moderate bourbon barrel flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Not too big on the barrel presence, but you still get a nice amount of vanilla/toffee notes from the barrel; with solid bourbon/oak flavors in the background. Never boozy or overly tannic. Great balance between malt and yeast complexity. A very enjoyable offering.
