Hd this twice, at the Great Arkansas Beer Festival and at Flying Saucer San An. Both times it was light, easy to drink, hay, straw, light citrus. Middle of the road.

Rich, deep copper, amber and bronze coloured body with a muddied orange glow and a thick, rich two centimetre tall tan head - very nice looking. Aroma of alcohol, pine, candy sugar, apricots, yeast, bread and quite a bit of grapefruit and passionfruit. Full-bodied; Rich chewy flavour with the hops hitting strong and hard but then fading to a nice sweetness of fruits and a heavy malt quality. Aftertaste shows a bit of hop bitterness on the end with a little malty richness, alcohol and caramel flavours toward the finish. Overall, a nice imperial IPA in a can!!! A good beer that I wasn’t sure what to expect, but executed fairly well and showing some good flavours consistently, all with a very nice body. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whip In in Austin, Texas on 05-May-2014 for US$2,69 sampled at home in Washington on 05-December-2014.

Can from a trade split 2 ways. Fridge is 44F in stemware. here. dark chocolate, 2 finger head, light and easy to see through in the light. Nose is bursting with chocolate and some cedar chips / mulch. Taste is roasty, creamy mouthfeel, some pistachio and walnuts and wood with a chocolatey finish. not terrible.

Bottle. Pours clear ruby black, small tan head, creamy, dissipates fairly quickly, nice lacing. Aroma is pretty vanilla forward, candy, milk chocolate, caramel. Flavor is sweet, actually less so than I expected from the aroma, vanilla, chocolate, english toffee, Worthers, bourbon. Light bitterness as well. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. A desert beer with a lingering bourbon finish.
