A pint drawn at Midland Beer Garden on an extremely warm Sunday aftenoon. Straw yellow with a circle of pure white bubbles around the edge. It tastes of straw, grain and a wisp of lemon, it is a Kolsch, nothing breaking out. The colder the better, pleasant.

12 oz can bought in St Pete, FL. Pours a cloudy bronze color with a small beige head and good retention. Visible sediment (I had to filter it). Spotty lacing. Strong orange nose. Tastes like orange concentrate mixed with a mild pale ale. Not as fruity as the nose, but the citrus helps cut through the mild 45 IBU bitterness. The 6.3 ABV is invisible.

12 oz can bought in St Pete, FL. Pours a cloudy bronze color with a creamy off-white head and great retention. Good lacing. Hoppy nose. The taste is a straightforward piney medium hoppy and bitter pale ale. Nothing else. Short finish. 6.3 ABV is well hidden.

Pours dark brown from the can. Creamy, tan head with good retention. Very nice aroma full of rich chocolate, coffee and mild berry notes. Taste is bittersweet with a mild roasted bitterness. Palate is a bit of let down, a touch watery, flabby, and fails to hide the alcohol. Lower than average carbonation—soon feels flat. Overall a let down after a nice start.

16oz can pours an opaque black with some sticky, off white head. Big chocolate nose, vanilla too, malt, rootbeer, some roasty notes, nougat, hazelnut. Flavor is sweet with malt, nutella, chocolate, vanilla, nougat. Finishes sweet, full bodied. Nice enough, but really just reads as a sweet stout, not really any distinct barrel.
