50cl bottle, picked up at the brewery by my brother. A rather hazy amber pour with a loose billowing white head; grainy aroma; sweet cereal taste with some honey; and a light grapefruit peel bitterness. A pleasant golden ale.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Daniel. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Soft airy palate, mild fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, mildly tangy. Little floralness. Light tangy finish. Just another porter and a fluffy one at that.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Daniel. Pours brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has some cocoa, dried fruits. Light sweet flavour with notes of leather, light rubber, earth, cocoa. Light bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat drying on the finish, with further leathery berries, light dry chocolate, a bit more rubbery notes. Ho hum.

Bottle thanks to Dirty D. It pours darkest with a thick tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, juicy, toffee, millionaires shortbread, chocolate, candy, crunchie and sugar. The taste is smooth, toasted action, toffee, honeycomb, dried fruits, earthy, plum, dates, dried berry and touch of alcohol with a short finish. Medium body and soft, foamy carbonation. Fair.

Bottle split at Level 42, thanks to Danny Boyo, 16/08/16. Mahogany brown with a decent beige swirl. Nose is toffee, fruit esters, light cocoa, charr, faint roast. Taste comprises cocoa, spice, charr, toffee, dark fruit rinds. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. So so, over carbed.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear, glowing gold with a creamy, white head. Pale grains and rindy citrus define this one, with a bit of orange, toasty hay, tangerine. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes sweet, with further notes of pale bread, tangerine, slight bitter hay. A rather nice golden bitter. Very drinkable.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours hazy golden - amber with a small bubbly white head. The nose is soft, sweet grain, toasty, honey, some stickiness and stone fruits. The taste is toasty, earthy, grainy, cereal, honey, stewed orange and citrus peel with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit too grainy for my liking. Pretty so-so.
