About
In 1998, La Brasserie An Alarc’h (swan in Breton) moved to the Monts d'Arrée, in Huelgoat. At the end of the first 7 years, the brewery found itself in difficulty and its founder decided to sell An Alarc’h to SCOP Tri Martolod, which was in charge of straightening and developing it. In 2015, the brewery moved to La Feuillée and Rod, a new partner comes to support the growth of the brewery.

Bottled@Björntasting. Black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, some mild liquorice, ashes and mild toasted notes. Flavour is smoked wood, some mild fruity and floral notes along with a bit of liquorice.

Bottled. Dark brown, beige head. Tarry nose with some citrus. Medium-full body with rounded mouthfeel, mid sweet. Chocolate and asphalt, slight citrusy notes. Quite bitter finish. More Stout than Black IPA. Solid.

Bottle at Björns. Opaque black color, small brownish head. Toasted aroma, licorice. Medium-bodied. Citrus, licorice, roasted malts in the flavor. Real cda from France! A bit watery finish.

50cl bottle. Dark brown color with a thin off white head. Chocolate, roasted notes. Flavor has roastedness, chocolate, ash, coffee. Smooth, dry finish. Really nice.
