Bottle as present. Almost clear, dark golden body with a big, dense off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grain and rye. Flavor is sweet malt, grain, rye bread, hint of caramel and moderate fruity bitterness. Balanced body and a bit sweet, malty aftertaste. Decent but a bit one-dimensional after a while.

Bottle. Black body with a nice, dense, beige head. Aroma has dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, hint of smoke and strong, bitter coffee – almost like sour coffee. Flavor is sweet, but balanced roasted, dark malt, strong coffee, medium smoke, dark chocolate, good bitterness and some licorice. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice and solid beer, not necessary better than any of the two beers this is a mix of, just adding up to something completely different.

Bottle, 7.0%. Mild caramel aroma with a refreshing hoppiness. Cloudy amber colour. Unstable off-white head. The flavour is bready with liquorice notes. The liquorice makes it taste unclean to me, but I am not saying it is infected. Medium bitterness. Ok refreshing.

0.33 l bottle @ home. Pours black with thin beige head. Nose is is sweet, with notes of chocolate, cocoa, liquorice with slight alcohol. Altogether feels somewhat sticky but in a good way. In taste it has similar notes but with some additional hoppy presence that combined with the cocoa/chocolate notes remind mr of a black IPA. Closes with long lasting dry, cocoa-coffee finish. Softly carbonated and has lovely creamy mouthfeel. Highly enjoyable.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours amber with a slight haze and a lacing, beige head. Fruity, tofeeish aroma with a hint of fried butter. Medium body, sweet toffee balanced out by just sufficient hops. Quite an elegant beer. 010324

Bottle picked up at Meny Toften Valby - had all the other variants but somehow had missed this one. Pours black with a nice beige head. Roasted and sweet dark malty, notes of caramel, burnt brown sugar, yes getting some sweet and salty liquorice for sure, nice body and mouthfeel, dark malty finish. Very nice.

Bottle from a supermarket in Denmark. Aroma is bready malt, caramel, straw, old fruits, touch of hops. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and medium to heavy bitter which turns sharp towards the end. Body is medium. A bit bland and not nearly hoppy enough to qualify as a good APA.
