Bottled. Sparkling, pale golden beer with a decent white head. The aroma has malts and hops. Not much else. As expected, not bad, just boring. Clean, crisp flavor of malt and hops. A vague hint of licorice is present in both flavor and nose. Ok body and some hops in the finish. Rating: 4-3-4-3-9-2.3. 060528

Bottle. It pours a lively clear, pale golden body and a small, firm and lasting head. The aroma has a good dash of pale malts, with peppery hops as a balancing element. Having just returned from running in the woods, where the myrica gale is shooting at the moment, I can’t really say I find much of it in the aroma. In the mouth, it’s smooth, creamy and medium bodied, and some bitterness gives nice balance to the grainy sweetness in end. The initial flavor is a bit sweet, with hay, grains and a little spiced, citrusy note. Drinking the beer again, four years after my last taste, I find it much more interesting, though too much in the sweet side to be quenching, but it’s a quite tasteful one. 100531

Bottled (Thanks TBone_ (and Papsoe)). Black opaque with small brown head, Aroma of roasted and caramellish malts in aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel, roasted malts and alcohol. The roasted malt is the only thing that stays in the afrertaste. Well done brew, though it lacks some of the limfjord porter features.

[Bottled]. Thanks for Papsoe for this rare one. Opaque black, small brown head, lace. Metallic roasted nose. Full-bodied, smooth palate. Loads of salted licorice and some dark chocolate. They continue long in the aftertaste. Not complex as Limfjordsporter but good as such.

Amber lazing nice white head - too dark en color for a pils, but not counting the style beutiful. The aroma is sweet fruity with some notes of caramel and straw. The flavor is a weird mixture of caramel, metal, straw, fruit, and caramel, leading to a dry metallic end. This beer has no idea where it wants to go - but top and bottom fermented, entered into a pilsner contest (and the winner), this is one weird beer.
