Golden with a medium lasting white head. Malt aroma, with herbal and spicy notes of bog myrtle. Pleasant initial flavour with a fruity/grass hint of the bog myrtle, but followed by a more ordinary sweet, strong lager malt flavour.

Black body with a firm, light brown head. Aroma of roast malt, licorice and tar (harbour-like). Rich flavour with coffee, wood smoke, more tar and licorice. A little sour with some bitterness in the finish, no annoying sweetness that can ruin a porter sometimes.

2005 beer, tasted end of 2007: Could the aroma get more intense of licorice, salt, tar, smoke, chocolate? The smoothness is overwhelming, and the flavour shows even more chocolate now. Perfect!

Pre-1970 Urban Limfjordsporter from Aalborg Aktiebryggerier. A bit dusty, cellary aroma, but excellent caramel and licorice character otherwise. Sweetish roasted flavour with a bit of charcoal, a hint of smoke and caramel, along with dust and cellar.

Black. Dark brown head. Roasted smell of smoke and tar, perhaps also a little sour. Overwhelmingly full taste of coffee and smoke. This one is a winner.

Golden with short-lived head. Aroma dominated by malt, with a little herbal hops and some DMS. Sweet malty and herbal flavour with a solid hop bitter finish.

Fully clear gold; slim white transparant head, disparate big bubbles. Nose just pale malts - and not even much; maybe a bit of soapy perfume. Taste is a bit sweet, pale malts, faint grass and a bit of goaty cheese, very faint. Sweet finish. Watery, thinnish texture. This is bullsh*t. I've taste beers with more bog myrtle aroma, brewed WITHOUT bog myrtle, than this.

Clean light yellow color. Soapy aroma, very cheap. Ordinary taste, a bit malty and correctly bitter, even difficult to tell immediately that it's made with herbs.

[Bottled on the premiere day for the commercial version] This beer is brewed with almost six times as much bog myrtle than the Porse Guld - and that shows. The aroma is very strong of bog myrtle with underlying notes of sweet malt and straws. The color is yellow and it has a beutiful lasting head. The flavor is really nice; sweet malty with very nice strong notes of bog myrtle that prickles the palate. A really good beer - the best Danish "gold" beer, that I've tasted.

The aroma is dominated by grain notes with some hoppiness. The color is slightly hazy orange and it has a fine dense white head. The flavor is fresh not very sweet, dominated by notes of straws and ending on an OK bitterness. It is somewhat watery. An average pilsener even though it is organic.

A yellow beer with an OK head, that unfortunatly vanishes quite fast. It has an aroma and flavor of hops. But it's not very bitter (is it dry hopped?). All in all it is more bitter than sweet and a little thin and flat. It's nothing special but OK.

The aroma is sour from the brewing cereal. The color is yellow, and it has a very bubbly fine head. The flavor is a slightly sour sweetness form a very simple malt blend. It ends on an OK bitterness, that lingers. The sourness from the brewing cereal is a clear drawback and it is also a little thin.

The aroma is slightly sour with a little malt sweetness. The color is amber and it has a fast disappearing head. The flavor is a little sour but also malt sweet. A very simple beer which makes it boring. It is nothing compared to Thy Classic.
