Draught
Dark amber color. The aroma is partially fruity, and hoppy, but light. The mouthfeel is full, malty, sweet, smooth (low carbonation), caramel, thick, well bitter. Very good!

(Bottle 33 cl) Pitch black with a thick, creamy, sticky and retentive head - but a lovely appearance. Smoked and burned nose. Medium-bodied with very burned - almost tar-like - malts and a smoked touch. Rather discreet bitterness. A beer with a great personality. 020606

(Bottle 33 cl) Nicely fully golden, rather small head. Some sweetish malt with a very soft mouthfeel. Good balance between sweet and bitter although the hoppiness is not very pronounced - as could be expected from it’s name (Humle = hops). Nice, strong organic lager. 120200

(Bottle 33 cl) Yellowish golden, small fast disappearing head. Good, solid body and a pronounced bitter finish. Quality pilsener. 050200

(Bottle 33 cl) Rather pale, not much darker than a pilsener. Lovely malty nose and a decent full body. You really feel that there’s a lot of quality ingredients in here. Unfortunately the extreme bitter hops drowns most of the other flavours - AND your taste buds. 121299

(Bottle 33 cl) Thisted produces no less than 3 different Christmas beers of which this is the "light" version. Very dark golden with a creamy head and a fantastic aroma of caramel malt. Very full body and also some light caramellish flavours - not really any sweetness though, this is all drowned by a pronounced bitterness. A very well-crafted beer. 101299

[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] A black beer wth a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet and malty - a very light aroma and too faint for my liking. The flavor is sweet malty and slightly roasted, with a dry end and a very soft mouthfeel. I like the original better.

[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] An unclear amber beer. The aroma is sweet, but with some notes of sourness. It also has aromas of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy.

[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] A hazy yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aorma is slightly hoppy and slightly malty, and the flavor is dry malty and slightly bitter. A boring beer. I definately like the bottom fermented bottled version a lot better - I can’t pick out the bogmyrtle in this one.

Bottle. Slightly malty aroma. Very malty flavour and smooth creamy mouthfeel for a lager. Surprisingly good.
