(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear amber with an off-white head, that leaves a small lacework. Aroma of nuts and aroma hops. Medium body with accents of nuts and a vague toffeeish edge. Dry, hoppy sensation from some good (English?) aroma hops. Quite a nice English style ale. 310806

(33 cl bottle brought home from Fredrikshavn, Denmark) Bottle neck label said "Porter med overgaer", translated sort of into Porter that is top fermented. Black color with a brown head. Acid scent, some burnt and chocolate smell behind it. Also a bit of smoke and alcohol. Full mouth feel. Burnt turning to sweet and bitter taste. After taste is mostly bitter. High bitterness.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Nice hoppy aroma, almost pilsner like. nice flavor, malty and not too bitter. Watery palate but nice carbonated. Same recipe as the pilsner made for Copenhagen beerfestival 2006, but only top-fermented (so it is an ale, maybe an amber ale?) and a little bit stronger.

Bottled. Jet black with a small tan head. Commerical description says that it is brewed without licorice, but who would believe that when smelling and tasting it. It also has lots of coffee, and roasted or burnt malt. Full-bodied, and a dry, bitter finish. (060801)

An amber beer with a thick bubbly off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite a lot of caramel, but also a slight fruityness. The flavor is sweet which increases in power as the beer rolls over the tongue, leaving notes of caramel, peaches, and flowers for a while, before the alcohol gains in strength and warms the mouth and leaves You with a slight bite in the cheeks and throat. A nice powerful winter warmer.
