Bottle. Slightly sour, smoked aroma. Dark brown colour, white head. Very sweet flavour with some smoked malt flavour. Aftertaste is refreshing and sweet, but a little watery. Not bad for hvidtøl, but as always too sweet for me.

Bottle. Very light yellow colour. White head, quickly gone. Slightly sour grain aroma. Mild, grainy flavour. A little hop aroma, but not much bitterness. Watery aftertaste. Low carbonation suits this beer. Not bad for a low alcohol beer. Refreshing and better than cola (also for your health).

Papery malt and slight herbal hop nose. Golden, low carbonation, no head. Typical danish corny malt base with some herbal flavors on top. Allthough there is supposed to be far more bog myrtle in it than the regular Porse Guld I am not really picking much of it up - a bit bitterness, thats all. Light body, fizzy mouthfeel, paper-malt aftertaste. Disappointing or just too high expectation, who knows...

Caramel aroma with herbal bitterness. Orange amber, low carbonation and head. Fruity malt, roast and smoke, slightly dusty. Lightbodied. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Thy Classic on 19 Jul 2001 at 04:12 - Score: Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Original review text: Fine head, beautiful dark colour. A aroma and taste of bitterhops and smoke. Unusual for a danish pilsener.

Bottle. Looks like any old lager. Aroma of hay and grain. Hint of bog myrtle which I cannot taste after the first few sips, but which I find refreshing. After that, the taste is like a nice mild, but not too boring, lager.

A dark brown beer with a small collapsing head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, licorice, and chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with notes of licorice an a dry roasted finish. A lovely flavor and a great hvidtøl.

Bottled. Pale golden. Strong anise-like bog myrtle aroma. Sweet with simple, rounded malt profile and a herbal bitter finish.

The aroma is filled with notes of licorice, lemon, and banana on a sour corn background. The color is dark brown and it has a huge extremely fast disappearing head. The flavor is weird; sweet licorice on a sour background from the corn. And the body is thin.

A golden beer with a beutiful white head though fast collapsing. The aroma is sour and malty - the sourness coming from the low alcohol content and the hops that try to cover this. The flavor is flat, metallic, straw, boring hops, and sour. It ends on a rather dry note with some bitterness but mainly the sourness lingering.
