Bottle. Clear brown colour. Very spicy aroma, reminding me of a Belgian yeast. The flavour is also Belgian, spicy and yeasty.

An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet with very strong notes of caramelized malt, leading to a dry end.

Black with fine browny creamy head. Aroma of burnt malts/chocolate & coffee. Medium carbonated. Texture is filling and very smooth and soft. Finish has slight bitterness. A porter with power. Truly incredible! Notes from a Pre 1970 bottle: Liquorice, caramel and port. Wauw.. Smooth. Impressive!

Bottled. Black, with a creamy, light brown head, leaving nice lacings. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, some fruityness and toffee. Roasted malt, coffee and bitter chocolate in the flavor. Quite dry, full to medium body and a long finish with coffee, roastiness and bitterness. Had some dark chocolate with it, and that lifted the experience a bit. (060604)

Small white head over clear light brown body. Grainy, caramelly aroma with banana and paper notes. Taste is papery caramel. Dry grainy aftertaste, with dry metallic bitterness lingering. Unusual, but not really good enough to stand out. A bit boring. (0.33l bottle.)

Bottled. Clear, pale golden with a small white head. Both aroma and flavor hasa malt-dominated profile, with some hops in. Flavor on the grainy side. Thin body and a malty finish. It also has a little fruitiness all the way. Not the worst LA-beer. (060609)
