Bottle thnx to the brewer Pours fuzzy , darker blonde . Good white head . Smell is hoppy . Bit aromatic , mostly bitter Bitter . Green , grassy . Bit dissapointing taste and too high carbo . . Harsher drinkability than their dark sister . Not bad , but not great .

Courtesy of Kraddel. 33 cl. bottle sampled. Dark pomegranate blackish dark brown, mocha head. Ground chocolate in the nose, lovely mellow hops, touch floral, pine, kiwi, white grapes. Taste is cocoa powder upfront, chocolate milk, nice mellow kiwi, exotic fruit, floral hops followed by tad liquorish and vinous streak. Touch grainy, lighter body. Quite nice & quite enjoyable, nicely done.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours hazy golden with a medium white head. The nose is soft, fresh, tangerine, nectarine, grain, dough and a light spicy edge, akin to hot cross buns. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, dough, tangy, orange sponge cake and a touch of alcohol with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty alright.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin for this guy. Pours mostly clear with a cream, white head. The nose has dry, pale bread, grains, hay. Medium sweet flavor with some Belgian yeast, bubblegum, bitter grain husks, sugary wheat. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sweet finish with dry pale malts, citrus, bitter hay, grains, bubblegum. Meh. OK.

Bottle from Hopduvel. Dark brown, nice beige foam. Medium carbonation. Fruity aroma. Notes of caramel, roasted malts and hops. Light bitter finish. Also some sourness which doesn’t fit very well. Medium body. Good, but I was expecting more.

7/II/14 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: I/2016 (2014-180)

Clear dark reddish brown beer, huge creamy dense beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, some chunks from the last part of the bottle. Aroma: very resinous, piny, little fruity, some citrus, exotic fruits. MF: lots of carbon, medium to full body. Taste: fruity start, citrus, some caramel, pineapple, pretty bitter, little sour, some red currants, sweet malts as well, nice piny bitterness. Aftertaste: very bitter, lots of citrus, grapefruit, caramel, pineapple, some passion fruits, yummy! Soft mocha touch, nice bitter ending. Great impression of the beer style!

Hazy gold beer with a little white head. Palate is minerally crisp and dry. Light creamy malt, semi dry. Orangey hops, a little tangy and a little sharp with a good dose of lemon. Finishes smooth with a mellow bitter linger. Pretty decent - like the hop profile and hope to try Smaragd hops again.
