Poured from 355mL can (pkg 21/Sep/2023; thanks Sammy). Tried same night with Blackburne and Blackburne Heaven Hill Bourbon 2023 (tried this last). Near black with light tan head. Oaky and roasty. The rye compliments the roastiness of the base beer here, adding some nice complexity. Enjoying this the best of the three.

12oz @ Ryan's (thx for the beer, dude!). Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: moderately charred oak, some sweetness and chocolate. Taste: along the same lines, less chocolate than in the base, though, that got overpowered by the charred oak. Overall: pretty good, but I do require more body in this one.
Earlier Rating: 1/18/2019 Total Score: 3.9

Poured from 355mL can (pkg 21/Sep/2023; thanks Sammy). Tried same night with Blackburne and Blackburne Rye (tried this second). Near black with small beige head. Woody bourbon, very feint hint of wood glue (almost undetectable, but I'm a little bit sensitive to it). The bourbon quality covers a lot of the roastiness and chocolate from the base beer. Decent. Without the feint wood glue, would have given this a 3.9.

Clean amber colour with a pink hue, a big creamy head that is white-pinkish coloured, long lasting and leaving some nice thin lacing. Aromas a nice blend of cranberries and oranges, with a touch of sour-tart. The sourness does appear more in the taste with the tart left in the mouth. The cranberry-orange is milder, but adds the fruitiness. Gets a little hazy as it pours. Another decent Squeeze Play with the cranberries and oranges, with sourness and tartiness.

12oz (thx, Mathieu P.!) @ Ryan's after kids' time. Appearance: almost black with beige head. Aroma: lots of charred oak, malty, some ink, and molasses. Taste: along the same lines, inky, roasty, even somewhat smoky, a bit of meaty notes. Overall: mostly a charred oak bomb, just an ok beer.

Can from LCBO. Feeling a little lighter than I expected. Mildly sweet thick bready malt, middling but rich resin hops. Slight burn on the finish. It's OK.

Pours a horrendous cloudy pink orange, lovely! Solid tropical fruits, with some grapefruit, tangerine and lime. Sweet for a moment, then the sour tang rolls in. Fairly strong, comes off vaguely lime juice. Decent balance with the sweet and sour. Enjoyable.
