Bottle from the brewpub. Dull light brown. Fruity - grape, soft raisin - aroma. Palate is malty, fruity/grapey and plum.

Amber-copper. Aroma is spicy and fruity, with some subtle yeast complexity. Delicate, nuanced ale with a hoppy/spicy signature. Good session brew that straddles english and belgian styles...a bridge to de koninck as it were. The production of this was moved to Galbraith for the 2013 batch, and that’s where I had it.

Copper colour and the head died. Very spicy aroma - cumin, five spice, and maybe some D. Malty palate, very spicy, caramel, some juiciness in the finish.

Bright copper. Cask, but looks like a sparkler head. Toasty, hints of dried leaves. Body is a touch creamy. Toasty bitterness, darker caramels.

Cascade hop apa. Golden colour. Keg. Woody cascade nose. Cascade oriented palate is a bit thin. Malts are balancing, but a little toasty, playing off the hop. Clearly this is similar to the brew they called Star Spangled Banner, but it wasn’t my favourite by a long shot.

Light amber, cask head, aroma has some woody character. Tastes woody, caramelly, toasty. Nice acidity in the finish. Another strong contender.

Light, appley, the hop has little bitterness but lends a nice, spicy character. Very English, a real treat so far from that island.

Lightly fruity, med amber, soft, light caramel and toast malt, fairly light body, quite drinkable.

very dark brown color. Very sweet hazelnut coffee nose. Like liqueur was dumped into coffee. Fairly sweet, a bit cloying. Very malty. Not really my cup of tea fr the style but not bad .

very rich malty character with notes of caramel milk chocolate and cherries. Rich warming. Not massive complexity but well made and enjoyable. Alcohol is a bit present
