Cask at the Barrel Vault, St Pancras on 20th March 2026. Crystal clear copper with elegant, shallow whitish foam and full lacing. Nutty malt aroma. Citrus peel, nutty malt and herbal notes in-mouth and a soft, buttery malt finish. Velvet smooth mouthfeel and a full body.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#22. Dark clear amber beer, quite hoppy, a little sugary, has a bitter finish. Depending on what your taste buds find dominant with each sip it can feel both tasty or blandish. I thought there was a little too much malt to begin with but settled for the aforementioned after deciding not.

Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear amber colour lasting cream head. Malty hoppy beer. Some dusty earthyness. Some ok malts. Some building bitterness on the finish. Pump clip suggests a West Coast Ipa. Almost a dusty mouldy aroma. Its not great to be honest. I struggled with it.

5/3/2026. Cask at wetherspoon’s beer festival. At the Bell Hotel, Norwich. Pours well. Aroma is piney, citrus, musty tropical, orange, a bit dank and overripe. Bittersweet taste, a little soapy and veggie. More bitterness comes through. Not bad.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Reading.] A golden amber pour with a thin white head; malty aroma; syrupy mouthfeel with a biscuity malt taste and a light bitterness; then some barley sugar to finish.

500ml bottle at home on Christmas Eve 2025. Poured into my Batemans pint sleeve glass, it's light golden, clean and clear; on top a white crown. Slight citrus leaning with a piney finish, no great bitterness or hop bite, but decent enough.

New UK brewery ✅ toasted sweet malty with some nice spicy hoppy undertones, some pine needles, biscuity caramel malts, soft cask mouthfeel and nice body, bitter piney hoppy and malty lingering finish. Nice first impression.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] An amber pour with a thin white head; citrusy aroma; light lemony citrus taste with a bready body; and a creamy finish with more lemon. Pleasant but unexciting.
