Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a dull, hazy, yellow color, with a small, dense, off-white head. The nose is caramel, butterscotch, green apples, straw, and pine. Sweet, with a nicely vinous, mildly tart flavor. Medium to heavy body, with a fizzy, crisp, and lightly acidic mouthfeel. This is a fun, creamy, and surprisingly heavy beer, with good, mellow, grape flavors.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a hazy, orange color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is brown bread, rye, pine, dust, and walnuts. Not very sweet, and quite bitter. Medium body, and a bit harsh and hard. Not my favorite.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a pretty big, creamy, brown head. The nose is brown sugar, light tobacco, leather, mild cherries, and earth. Pretty dry, with a bit of a bitter finish. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, thick mouthfeel. This is a tasty, and very interesting brown.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a pale, hazy, orange color, with a medium, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is bitter orange peel, grapefruit, grains, cardamom, and pine tar. Sweet and musty, with an off bitterness, and a long, unpleasant finish. Light to medium body, with a sticky, astringent feel. This is a strange, difficult beer.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a cloudy, purple color, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is strong blueberries, cream, light lime, and cloves. Sweet and fruity, with only a touch of bitterness. Light to medium body, with a creamy, clean feel. This is a nice, berry-forward, and tasty IPA.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours an unclear, red color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is unripe raspberries, leather, dry grass, and lemon peel. Sweet and fruity, mildly bitter, with a light, funky, tart flavor. Medium body, with a dry, astringent mouthfeel. This is a complex and fun sour.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours black, with a medium, dense, tan head. Lots of vanilla on the nose, with some mild coffee, chocolate pudding, walnuts, and bourbon. Sweet and syrupy, with a mild, lovely bitterness. Very heavy body, with a thick, boozy mouthfeel. This is a decadent, excellently balanced, and delicious stout.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a hazy yellow color, with a small, bubbly, white head. The aroma is vanilla, pine, thyme, and white sugar. Sweet and malty, with a mild bitterness. Light body, with a fluffy, clean mouthfeel. This is a mellow, fruity, and refreshing beer.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours red, with a fairly large, white head. Strong raspberry aromas, with some vanilla, yogurt, and maple. Sweet and fruity, with a mild tart flavor. Light to medium body, with an acidic, creamy mouthfeel. This is a sharp, fruity, and enjoyable beer.
