Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a dull, hazy, yellow color, with a small, dense, off-white head. The nose is caramel, butterscotch, green apples, straw, and pine. Sweet, with a nicely vinous, mildly tart flavor. Medium to heavy body, with a fizzy, crisp, and lightly acidic mouthfeel. This is a fun, creamy, and surprisingly heavy beer, with good, mellow, grape flavors.

Sweet and musty, with an off bitterness, and a long, unpleasant finish. Light to medium body, with a sticky, astringent feel. This is a strange, difficult beer.
