Sample from a bottle at the All Colorado Beer Festival. Pours an unclear, reddish-brown color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is molasses, black pepper, rye, and distinct yams. Sweet and malty, with a good, sharp bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, sticky, and grainy mouthfeel. This is a pretty nice, sugary-sweet beer, but with good balance, and not just another pumpkin pie spice bomb.

Sample at the tasting room. Pours a dark brown color, with a thick, tan head, and lovely lacing. The nose is molasses, resin, cough syrup, pepper, and bitter chocolate. Malty, with a dank, off bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a thick, creamy, and acidic mouthfeel. This is an odd beer. Not bad, but not great.

Sample at the tasting room. Pours a dark, opaque, brown color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is bitter coffee, bananas, cinnamon, and burnt toast. Roasted and malty sweetness, with a good bit of yeasty esters. Heavy body, a little acidic, slick, and clean. This is an interesting, yeasty porter. Fun.

Sample at the tasting room. Pours a dark, bronze color, with a medium, dense, off-white head. The aroma is rye, honey, black bread, pine sap, and sorghum. Off sweetness, and lightly bitter. Not sour, that I can tell. Medium to heavy body, acidic, and clingy. This is an odd, and not terribly pleasant, beer.

Sample at the tasting room. Pours a clear, copper color, with a small, beige, head. Smells of dry leather, bay leaves, light anise, juniper, and caramel. Sweet and interestingly bitter. Light to medium body, with a sharp, acrid mouthfeel. This is an interesting and pretty well made beer, but not that tasty.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy, orange color, with a huge, bubbly, white head. The aroma is orange peel, white wine, green apples, vanilla, and cereals. Sharp, dry flavor, and just a little bitter. Heavy body, with a lightly acidic, creamy, and thick mouthfeel. Good balance, complex aromas, and a good palate. This beer is just lovely.

Sample in a flight at the taproom. Pours black, with a small, brown, head. Smells like a campfire, with some leather, pine, maple syrup, and coffee. Sweet up front, with a dry, smoky, bitter flavor coming forward in the finish. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, smooth, and a bit astringent. This is a very smoky, smooth porter, but the aftertaste is a bit harsh and acrid. Still, pretty nice.

Sample in a flight at the taproom. Pours an unclear, golden color, with a small, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is melons, rosewater, honey, grass, pumpernickel, and rye. Lightly sweet, with a hard bitterness, and a dry, tart finish. Light to medium body, with a sticky, minerally, and clingy mouthfeel. This is a nice, reasonably aromatic IPA. Solid.

Sample in a flight at the taproom. Pours a dark, clear, orange, with a small, beige head. Very earthy aromas of leather, barnyard funk, dried lemon peels, and hay. Very dry flavor, with a significant, and rather unpleasant bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with an astringent and hard mouthfeel. Complex and interesting, but not very easy to drink.
