Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a pale, hazy yellow, with a big, frothy, white head. The nose is tangerines, old leather, pine, apple peel, and straw. Fairly dry, with a light bitterness. Light body, with a crisp, lightly acidic, and effervescent mouthfeel. This is a sharp, dry saison. Nicely done.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours an opaque, dull, orange color, with a small, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is pine, orange peel, some earth, roses, and wheat bread. Sweet at first, with a good, hop bite. Heavy body, with a pulpy, acidic feel. This is a solid IPA, but nothing special.

Taster at the brewery. Pours black, with a small, creamy, tan head. The aroma is tart raspberries, light dirt, bitter cocoa, raw coconut, and maple. Sweet and very tart. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, acidic, and clingy mouthfeel. Very interesting, perhaps even the best sour stout I've tried.
