Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a clear, reddish color, with a small, lingering, white head. Smells of dark chocolate, cut grass, lavender, caramel, and dust. Sweet and malty, with a mellow bitterness. Light to medium body, with a sticky mouthfeel. This is an interesting and creative beer.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours dark brown, with a thin, fleeting head. The nose is pecans, bread dough, pine, rosewater, syrup, and toast. Sweet and malty, with a pleasant, mild bitterness. Heavy body, with a syrupy, grainy palate. This is a big and bold, yet balanced beer. Delicious.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a muddy, opaque, brown color, with a thin, tan head. Big kick of apple brandy, cardamom, light anise, raisins, and almonds. Sweet and very boozy, but in a good way. Heavy body, with a sharp, slick palate. This is a beautifully complex and delicious beer.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a clear, bronze color, with a small, off-white head. The nose is lemon zest, strong tannins, butterscotch, and light barnyard. Sweet and zesty, with a touch of sour and funk. Light to medium body, with a drying, lightly acidic palate. This is a well done and fun saison.

On tap at the Carter Payne. Pours a murky, dull, orange color, with a small, fine, off-white head. The aroma is guava, distinct cedar, wheat bread, sawdust, grapefruit peel, and caraway. Dry, yet juicy. Mildly bitter. Medium body, with a hard, pulpy, and lightly acidic mouthfeel. This is a complex and quite tasty IPA.

On tap at the Carter Payne. Pours a bright and hazy orange color, with a small, white head. Light and beautiful strawberry, lemongrass, lime zest, and a touch of lactose. Sweet, with a sharp, mild sour flavor. Light body, with a crisp, lightly acidic palate. This is an easy and enjoyable sour.

On tap at the Carter Payne. Pours black, with a small, tan head. The aroma is lime juice, caramel, flamed orange peel, and black pepper. Quite tart, but not overbearing. Medium to heavy body, with an acidic, dusty palate. This is a lovely, aggressive, and simple sour.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours black, with a small, persistent, tan head. The nose is dark chocolate, lots of roast, rye, and vanilla. Surprisingly dry, with a wonderfully aggressive bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a chalky, syrupy palate. Well made and delicious, but not decadent or easy.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a dark, ruby brown color, with a fleeting, beige head. The aroma is cloves, caraway, vanilla, toffee, and rum. Sweet and sugary, with a light bitter finish. Heavy body, with a creamy, effervescent mouthfeel. This is a fun and tasty beer.

Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours a dull, brown color with lots of bubbles. The nose is corn husks, pine sap, cedar, gin, and quinine. Dry and kinda unfortunately bitter. Heavy body, with a syrupy, astringent palate. This is a dank and strong beer, but not very tasty.
