22 oz. bottle, pours a near-black with a medium beige / tan head. Nose brings out lactose notes, some residual sugars, coconut, vanilla and very subtle bourbon notes. Flavour brings out loads of bourbon barrels, a little vanilla, and loads of lactose notes. Extremely complex, deep and dynamic. Well-rounded, and while the booze is noticeable, it works perfectly. Excellent stuff.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of peach, mango, pineapple, lemon zest, orange zest, banana, tangerine, pear, apple, floral, grass, clove, pepper, light pine, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great citrus/tropical hop complexity with a moderate yeast and malt balance; and good strength. Taste of big peach, pineapple, mango, tangerine, banana, lemon zest, orange zest, clove, pepper, pine, floral, grass, bread, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy tartness and spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of mango, pineapple, citrus zest, banana, clove, pepper, pine, floral, grass, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome balance and complexity of hop and yeast flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Belgian pale ale! All around great balance and complexity of hop, yeast, and malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Location: Draft at Stout Barrel House and Galley, 8/22/13
Aroma: The aroma of this one has plenty of citrus, some pine, and a little bit of caramel
Appearance: This one pours a clear amber-golden color with a creamy off-white head
Flavor: The taste of this one is mid-sweet, malty, balanced by plenty of hop bitterness
Palate: This one is medium bodied, a bit of a creamy feel, average carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a very solid IPA. Nice stuff. This one is something I'd happily return to again.

12oz can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear reddish orange with minimal head. Aroma of grains with just a hint of light berry. Taste is light tart. A little berry and a hint of citrus with a big grain backbone. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Good brew for drinking outside on a hot day.
