Canned 1/5/22, drunk 1/20/22. Clear, medium copper-to-deep honey-amber. Off-white head atop is frothy, slowly receding to half a finger. Getting a lot of pine, lemon, black tea and yet some softer toffee, caramel and cake. But it's not iced tea or scratchy, gross caramel malt character, importantly. Hops are C-forward yet not obnoxiously resinous or grapefruit rind-heavy. Soft, succulent, and full of butter toffee and sweet cream with hop bitterness quickly picking up to easily balance. Along the lines of West Coast IPAs, this is a good one, though I don't love the relative lack of hop complexity that is the hallmark of West Coast IPAs. Grapefruit, orange, lemon, black tea, pine. That's always about it. The malt is soft and round and comforting, but the bitterness is still severe. Fine for what it is, even if I hate WC IPAs.

16oz can,. Filtered orange-tan body, Small, fading, white head. A pretty tasty Czech Lager. Lemon touched hop tone sort of takes center stage. Some bready undercurrents, pleasant lagering. A well made beer, but perhaps not World Class. Something about the hop tone doesn't quite sit right with me. OK.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a slightly hazy but strong copper glowing tint with a thickish, two to three centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of maple, toasted grain, yeast, bread, allspice and a hint of canella with a large caramelised sugar scent as well and some earth as well, here. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong toasted malt component at first with a big earthy, musty and rustic quality but fades to a nice sweet, caramelised sugar and pitted fruit flavour that couples with the slight maple flavour well and provides a good complexity to the rich malt backbone. Aftertaste shows a lot of maple and malt flavours with a good rich qualities and some sweetness along with a good balance of caramelised sugars and pitted fruits on the finish. Overall, a very nice and incredibly balanced, but full-of-flavour and not overly cloying or sweet beer that has enough maple flavour but a crisp and earthy malt profile to make this great for the Fall season. Ever so slightly hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, single to two centimetre tall almost pure white head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of bright grassy and floral hops with a dose of citrus fruits and some strong bitterness from the alpha acids with some alcohol and malt noticeable as well of course. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hop flavours dominate here with a rich malt backbone that hits nicely and balances out nicely with a pungency and slight astringency, but fairly crisp and flavourful product that is nice for the style. Aftertaste shows a good hop bite with a nice bitterness and a relatively well-balanced malt component that all hits nicely and leaves some slight citrusey and dry hop flavours towards the end, but not too pungent or potent - fairly easy-going, especially for the style. Great to sample and very nice to try locally and fresh! Fairly clear, but slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, but fast-fading pure white head that leaves nothing on top after a few seconds. Aroma of grass, hay, flowers, perfume, coriander seed and a dose of canned corn, but on the lighter side of both. Light-bodied; Strong coriander seed and curacao flavours at first with a big hit of wheat, grass and flowers and a touch of perfume along with a very subdued hop kick with some alpha acids here as well. Aftertaste shows some grassy and floral aspects with a big dose of coriander seed and citrus fruits with only a tiny bit of sweetness, but some nice easy-drinking malts/wheat on top of the grassy and dry notes. Overall, a very nice, flavourful and well-balanced beer that still has a lot of flavour and complexity for such an easy-drinking package. Nice to sample and worth buying, especially during the summer/warm months, even up North! On tap at St Gambrinus. Pours somewhat hazy orange. Pineapple, candied pineapple, caramel, mango, orange peel, very little bitterness, fair heft of booze. Good full body. Decent.

Canned 11/10/21, drunk 11/22/21. Deep bronze-brass, only lightly hazy with a large, white head that shows moderate retention. Smells like a barleywine. Boozy (not sharp/hot) with extremely dry caramel and grapefruit/orange rind. Pine and lemon with resin on the end. Barleywine-forward with extremely dry caramel, pithy/resinous bitterness, strong attenuation and maltiness. It's fine, but at the end of the day, it's just resin, citrus rind, booze and dry caramel, so not much in the enjoyable realm for me. Drank about 1/3 of the 12oz can and dumped the rest. Just need more playful hop flavors, softer and more lighter malt flavors and some more fruitiness or something. Just hard, bitter and boozy.
