Gott

500ml bottle. Clear, copper-ish, brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Minimally nutty and spelty, toasty malty aroma, light, spicy hoppy overtones. Taste is slightly dry, nutty and spelty, toasty malty, subtle sweetness, diluted hints of malt lozenge, mild, grassy-spicy, hoppy overtones. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Light, simple, a bit anaemic - not the kind of Dunkel I prefer.

50cl Fles van De Bierkoning. Donker-amber van kleur, gebroken-witte kraag. Moutig, wat caramel, licht-zoet, weinig uitgesproken. Degelijk maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Pours an almost clear dark red to light brown. Average sized white head, decent persistence and scarce lacing. Aroma has a slight dark bread base, followed by nutty and caramel notes, plus a slight fruity hint. Average intensity. Taste notes follow the aroma, with good definition and intensity. Overall not super deep, but very well crafted and integrated. Medium to high sweet and medium bitter. Sweetish entrypoint and mouthfeel; perfectly balanced, clean finish. Light to medium bodied with ligiht to medium carbonation, resulting in a very easy but somehow still slightly creamy mouthfeel. Nice mouthfeel indeed. A very well made dunkel.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, orangey brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Nose is slightly metallic with subtle roast. Medium body, subtle roast, bubblegum notes and a slight bitterness. Nice and well made example of the style. 020920

Bottle, from the depths of my fridge, 2y expired. Drunk while playing Quake 3 Arena. Thin head gone fast. Light caramel toasty malt nose. Decent slightly-sweet rostmalz flavor, nothing amazing but I have to say it aged fine so no massive failures. Nice nutty/woody notes with moderate hop bitterness.

50cl bottle. Poured clear golden in color with a thin white head. Some metal at first in both aroma and flavor. Mellows out. Overall a basic pils, grassy hops, grains, slightly sweet. Light bitterness. Thin.
