Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours an almost clear dark chestnut colour with a thinnish off white head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, brown bread and a touch of brown sugar. Taste has toffee, caramel, toasty brown bread, roasted malts, brown sugar with an added hint of nuts and dry dark fruits. Decent balance between roasty, bitter and sweet. Medium body, fairly low carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Decent above average Dunkel.

Pours slightly darker than golden, transparent. One finger of quite dense white head. Good enough retention, little lacing. Nicely deep aroma, with quite good intensity as well. A nice base of freshly mown hay, with a bit of buttery feel to it (the delicate, pleasant butter, not the over the top one). Notes of flowers (chamomille especially), light honey, the slighest fruity hint (apple). Very classic helles aroma with a nice rustic touch. Taste is perhaps a bit less intense and defined: cereal malts base, light buttery undernote, hints of honey, flowers, perhaps the slightest hints of grassiness and fruitiness (apple). Medium sweetness with low to medium bitterness. Slight sweet edge in the mouth, perfectly balanced finish and aftertaste with a bit of fruity reminiscence. Again, pleasantly rustic. Light bodied with slightly sub-medium carbonation. Classic, super easy helles mouthfeel. Very nice one.

Bottle picked up from Hop Lords, Worcester and consumed at Scott and Mandy's, Dumbleton, Worcestershire Wednesday 18th May 2022. Nose mostly malts and a little bourbon. Soft moutheel, a little chewy toffee, a little bit boozy, the bourbon only really getting in the way here. Ok

Bottled, thanks guys for sharing! Clear amber-golden body. Grainy malty aroma, light green apple, very light orange touches. Lean taste, grainy, dry and malty, some brown sugar and old cereal notes as well. Okay at best, not Franconia's best bock in this shape and form.

Helle Farbe. Das hat durchaus was - allerdings ganz klar „not everybodys darling“. Aber ein erfrischendes und ungewöhnliches Weizen, dem man deutlich anmerkt, dass es wohl in einem ganz kleinen Betrieb handgeschnitzt und mundgeblasen wurde. Das hat Charme.
