Pours deep golden to the lightest orange, the lightest bit of haziness, a bit more on final pour. Classic huge weizen head, perhaps a little lower than usual; recedes relatively quick though and leaves ltitle lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: strong esters with banana and lemony notes, bubblegum, a light tart/sour suggestion; not showing much depth. Taste notes show a very light dough-like base followed by lemon and banana, bubblegum, a hint of spiciness (clove). Doesn't feel too sweetly chewy like some other weizens but sadly feels somehow 'empty'. Overall obviously sweet, about average per style, and also quite tart for the style as the smell suggested, maybe a bit too much. Light bodied with medium to high carbonation, perhaps a tad lighter than style average in both body and carbonation; highly drinkable, perhaps a little empty/watery. Meh... maybe an unlucky bottle.

Dark golden to the lightest orange, clear. A quite big relatively frothy white head; decent retention, little lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: cerealy and rather strong caramel malts, perhaps a hint of honey, a soapy feel underneath, some vague/undistinct fruitiness. Taste shows medium to high sweetness and low to medium bitterness, with a quite strong sweet edge in both taste and aftertaste, too much for my liking. Cerealy and caramel malts as per aroma, light honey, again that vague fruitiness, just a touch of herbal hops. Not very polished. A tad below medium bodied with low to medium carbonation; rather easy to drink, slightly oily. Had much better experiences with pretty much any other beer from this brewery, this one was meh.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a murky chestnut colour with a thin off white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, toffee, caramel and brown bread. Taste has more darks fruits and caramel, added notes of leather, wood, bourbon, lots of brown sugar and warming alcohol. Medium to full body, fairly low carbonation and sticky mouthfeel. Very unbalanced, too cloyingly sweet and alcohol clearly apparent. I’m not a great fan of this one.
