Cloudy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour, average to huge, frothy, white head gets slightly late in shape and resettles to a small, dense, moderately lasting and minimally lacing, creamy crown. Yeasty fruity, minimally bready, wheaty malty, slightly yeast yspicy and minimally leafy hoppy aroma, notes of banana, pear, apple, some clove, a touch of nutmeg, vanilla. Taste is yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy, minimally leafy hoppy, minimally bready, wheaty malty basis with low residual sweetness, minimally diluted hints of pear and banana, a touch of apple, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, black pepper, white bread.
Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, dense, foamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Well balanced, well controlled sweetness, not overly intense but rather manifold fruitiness, nice spicy aspects; focussed, distinct - very good.

On tap at Wirtshaus zum Geiss, Straubing Friday 7th March 2025 after a short cycle ride from Reibersdorfer Hop in the village of the same name. Pours chestnut brown, good clarity, slim white head, nice warmth, malty and with a caramel flourish. Very nice.

0.5 l bottle from 'Bierselect.de', best before November 2025. Hazy, orange with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, quite yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of banana, clove, honey, some vanilla and light pear. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and minimally fruity taste of clove, banana, honey, vanilla and a touch of pear, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little chalky finish. Medium to full body, smooth, slightly creamy and gently effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very pleasant Weizenbock.

Das Karmeliten Brocardus wirbt auf der Flasche mit der "Außergewöhnlichkeit" seiner Rezeptur, und außergewöhnlich ist es tatsächlich. In der Nase ziemlich schwer in Anbetracht des relativ niedrigen Alkoholgehaltes mit Aromen nach viel (frischen und getrockneten) Pflaumen, Rosinen, etwas Butter und malzigem Karamell, dazu recht süßlich. Auch der Hopfen macht sich dezent bemerkbar. Im Geschmack ganz anders als erwartet, deutlich schlanker mit einer deutlichen, hellen Fruchtigkeit mit leichten Anklängen an Milchschokolade. Insgesamt im Geschmack relativ trocken.

From tap at Schneider Weisses Bräuhaus, München. Aroma of bready malt, caramel, nuts, toffee. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Body is medium. Okay Dunkel, maybe a bit too heavy on the sweetness.

Bottle (from KCM Ideapark, Seinäjoki). Copper colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is nutty, some toasted and chocolaty tones. Flavour is nutty, some toasted tones, mild chocolate and some wooden tones with mild rye bready tones.
