Flascherl (250ml): Hazy, derp golden, small white foamy layer, sweet honeyish-fruity and grainy nose, mild herbal hops in the background; mild to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, astonishingly „full-bodied“ for a beer of 3.7%; lingering fruity and malty finish with some herbal hops in the aftertaste. Tasty and well balanced…

(Bottle) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, apricots, citrus, hay, spices, hints of butter and honey. Malty taste with apricots, bread, citrus, honey, grass and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Rounded mouthfeel. Tasty, quite soft and well balanced. Nice one.

Bottle at BEZ Fischerei vehein Straubing, Saturday 8th October 2022. Cannot be certain on the colour as I was given it straight from the bottle. Taste is simple but fine, a little hoppiness, soft moutheel, some light fruitiness, ok.

Bottle, thanks Max! Light gold, nice head. Spicy caramel nose, smells like Oktoberfest. Nice full body with lots of caramel, missing a bit of bitterness for balance IMO. Good mid complexity and no failures. Tasty!

Bottle from Biersalon in Kaufbeuren (D). Heller Weizen Doppelback aged in Cognac barrel. time of barrel ageing and bottle date not stated on the label. Best before July 2020 so maybe fairly old by now? No mention on the website of the brrewery. Although the (few) ratings on Untapp'd start in march 2019... Color: Lightly hazy golden to orange amber, very thin white head. Aroma: Grape, yellow raisins, bit vinuous and boozy (Cognac). Taste: Sweetish dried white grape, yellow raisins, bit vinuous white wine, hints of dried stone fruit, bit boozy, wheat malt. Cognac is overwhelming the base beer, not in an annoying way but I'm a fan of Cognac aged beer. Over medium body, low carbonation. Over moderate to medium sweet, light vinuous tartness and very light bitterness. Probably one of the most unique and uncommon beers I've had so far from a traditional Germany brewery. Extra point for that.

Bottled 500ml (Alko web)
Golden pale yellow colour, small white head. Light sweetness, malts, touch of grain in the nose. Light-bodied. Some sweetness, lemony hops lurking. Suprisingly not grassy. Clean but kind of lame, expected a bit more.
