Pours very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma lightly roasted malt and brown sugar. Flavour malty and burnt caramel. Acrid on the finish. Mouthfeel okay. The lingering bitterness is a bit unexpected, but not unpleasant overall.

Many thanks to the Vancouver guys, including fiery1, beerplace and pictoman, that sat next to us outside at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade. Taster poured from a dark compact bottle. Scattered lacing, film-type layer, and near-black in the glass. Attractive aromas of cocoa chocolate and dried fruits. Powerful flavours with impacts of dark chocolate, prunes, raisin, and syrup, offset by a semi-tart backdrop. Woody and oaky. Lingering ending with warming alcohol. Port impression. Enjoyable sipper. Poured from the tap (11.9%). Cloudy amber with minimal white head. Lots of raisin, feint acetic acid; overly sweet, light vinegar; I’m late to the game, but I can see how this may have been used for Mammoth Extinction. Maybe time for a new batch of that?
