At the source: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate and plenty of the coconuts and maltiness. Taste is mostly chocolate without being too sweet. Coconut underlies it all. Great body. Perfect balance. Really good.

At the soirce: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is citrusy and yeasty... Nice bit on the hops. Taste is nice and hoppy. Hay and farmhouse notes. Some bread. Nice bite. Very drinkable.

At the source: pours orange with no head. Really... Zero head. Aroma is bretty funk, tree, apricot, and wines. Taste is incredibly complex. Woody. Nutty. Bretty funk. Dry wine hints. Adequate carbonation to disperse the taste. Apricots are big of course in this. But yeah. This is dank.

Pine Box Rock Shop, Brooklyn tap: pours opaque cloudy light orange with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit and a hefty malt. Taste is juicy and very fruity. Excellent hop profile. Another valiant effort.

Dark bronze-golden body shows a mild to moderate haze and a thin white head that sits at cover.
Initially, juicy hops provide a bright, fun feel to the beer, with orange, lemon, mango and such. Slowly, the coconut character emerges and eventually somewhat dominates the beer (more so the flavor than the nose).
Pretty enjoyable citrus and tropical fruit notes quickly take a backseat to the coconut. After a while it’s pretty close to all I really taste. The beer shows good attenuation and balance, otherwise, but I think the coconut just needs to be dialed back. If you love coconut, you may be ok with it.

On tap at Brouwerij Lane. Pours a cloudy gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is melon and dank hop. Medium mouth, juicy, melon, mango, crushable, very nice.

At the source: pours hazy yellow and orange with a white head. Aroma is mango, grapefruit, and probably other fruit. Taste is very fruity. Not bitter at all. Again, this is probably not really an IPA but a totally different style that we were too lazy to name. Quite good.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours orange with a small white head. Aroma is lime and plenty of it with some sour funk. Taste is sour, limey limes, a finish of habanero, with jist hints of salt. Very easy to drink and refreshing while at the same time being weird and complex.
