During Threefold 1st Anniversary party. Pour from a micro barrel on the back of the brewery.
Aroma: a lot of American oak, dark fruits, sweet, brown sugars.
Taste: loads of spirit notes (bourbon), a bit hot. Pleasant body and sweetness.
Overall: regardless of the booze presence, it is a good one for sure 👍

On tap at Threefold, pours black with almost no head. Nose is super rich, with big bourbon barrels, a touch of port, dark dried fruits, molasses, and vanilla. Flavour is impeccably rich and complex, with huge bourbon, a touch of port, dark dried fruits, vanilla, molasses, and restrained sugars. Rich, complex, intense, and yet cohesive. Wonderful.

On tap at Threefold, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of old school piney hops, a touch of woodiness, light grass, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is quite dank, with big pot-like hops, potent pine, some oiliness, and just enough biscuity malt to back. Super dank, pungent, and yet clean. Excellent.

Bottle, thx Adam V.! Dark brown body, no head. Huge peat in the aroma, as expected, but not overdone, alcohol, caramel, prunes, minerally, leathery. Creamy, sweet peaty taste, not as extreme as expected, chocolate, bit minerally, herbal, bitterish finish, umami, licorice... Warming but legitimately tasty!

On tap at Threefold, pours a deep dark red with a small pink head. Aroma has lots of woody oak, tart cherries, and some rustic, buggy yeast. Flavour is fairly acidic, with very tart cherries, some rustic saison yeast, and a touch of wood. Quite tart, very cherry-forward, a bit too much acidity. It’s solid.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque, dirty orange with a small white head. Aroma has tons of juicy plums, gentle acidity, and subdued bugginess. Flavour is extremely acidic, with plenty of juicy plums upfront, aggressive acidity, and subdued wild yeast underneath. The acidity becomes a bit more manageable as you drink more, but it’s still too much. Not the most complex wild fruited sour, but it’s competent.
