330 ml bottle. Pours a pale dull gold with some odd particles. Aromas of floral gin, lemon zest, potpourri, white pepper and sharp thin wheaty malts. Flavors of lemons, more floral gin and dry crackery malts. Quite nice.

Medium brown with nitro head. There’s toffeeish barley wine on the nose. On the palate it has that rich bourbony bw, along with creamy body. Some light roasty stout, so all the elements are here. Interesting, actually. I’d still prefer the base bw on its own.

Pale. Slight haze. Massive gin aroma, on the palate it retains the dry, earthy quince qualities, the body of the graf, but layers on a nice effervescence and a somewhat heavy gin character, especially lavender.

Hazy and pale, has a nice hop aroma and quince. Tart, earthy and dry with a touch of malt. The saison shows in the body, haha okay that sort of swimming pool phenol thing is still there too. Good, though.

Dark brown, nearly black. No head. Aroma is almost entirely peat and iodine though there are some dark sugars in there as well. But on the palate, same thing. Big rich peat. The malts balance it, but it’s up to the beer to influence the barrel here, not the other way around. I’m going back and forth - is it refined like lagavulin or heavy-handed like Octomore? I think more heavy-handed but still not bad.

Dark brown, no head. A lot of amburana on the nose, along with sticky sugars. The bourbon is more prominent on the palate, good body, some sticky sugars, a bit of fruit, lots of amburana. Woody and a touch of heat in the finish. Good stuff.

Slight haze, pale, medium head, light body, mellow gin accents, basically a dry saison with low bitterness and accented herbals.

Bottled, huge thanks Fil for sharing with us! Dark brown body, hazy, no head. Huge aroma, bourbon barrel vanilla, bit of dust, bit of buttery creamy notes, raisins, some alcohol, but also some nougat. Complex, but bit flawed maybe as well. Smooth lean dry taste, fantatstic caramel, coconut and vanilla interplay, some roast, dry bitterness, big bitterness even, but balancing things out really, really well, with extremely well hidden alcohol. This is excellent!

On tap at Threefold, pours black with a large beige head. Aroma has soft bourbon, toasted malt, and a touch of earthiness. Flavour has a nice strong bourbon character upfront, soft toasted malt, and a touch of dry earthy cocoa. If you’re gonna do a nitro stout, may as well pour bourbon BA stout into it to enhance it. Good stuff.
