Description
Temporal Artisan Ales is a brewing project that is crafting delicate oak-aged beers in a shared space at Luppolo Brewing Company in Vancouver, BC. The beers we create are fermented 100% in our oak barrels over lengthy periods of time, imparting delicate complexity. Portions of separate barrels are blended to enhance specific characteristics unique to each barrel. Every beer we release has been meticulously crafted from start to finish.

Bottle, Temporal Tasting
Dark brown colour. Aroma of caramel, fudge, vanilla, hint of tobacco. Full bodied, smooth mouthfeel, moderately sweet; excellent chocolate flavour, nice depth, some layers of dark chocolate, burnt sugar; caramelized honey? Maybe. Nice alcohol warmth.
Excellent.

Dark amber colour, my glass ended up with a lot of ugly floaties. Aroma of coconut, and caramel. Strong body, moderately sweet, the coconut presence is strong, malt and caramel flavour, some meat and veggies broth; nutty finish.
Very good.

Bottle, Temporal Tasting
Ugly brown, seems opaque, no head. Aroma of malt, chocolate snack bar (Mars), fudge. Full bodied, as expected from Temporal the sweetness is not much; it starts with nutty chocolate then burnt sugar, touch of vanilla, spirit. Indeed, more malty than an imperial stout, more roasty than a barley wine, the result is original and pleasant.

Dark brown colour. Dark chocolate, a bit salty, the alcohol is hot, the sweetness is very low; some dark caramel, light vanilla; but, compared to the Binary Pair B, it doesn't have the same malt flavour, while not offering good Imperial Stout notes either.
Good, hot beer.

330ml shared with Ryan @ Alex's garage. Appearance: brown with a weakwhite head. Aroma: a regular meaty malty base with a coconut character that I don't really appreciate (same as in Structures). Taste: along the same lines, quite nice bourbon barrel here that's spoiled by the roasty bitterness and toasted coconut character that I don't really appreciate. Overall: ok.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark brown with very minimal beige head and touch of sediment. Fair bit of coconut (more so on the taste than the nose), bourbon barrel, toffee character. Decent, but prefer cosmic syzygy overall. Rounding up to 3.8, but more accurately, I would give it a 3.75.

750ml (thx, Tristan!) shared with Ryan @ Alex's garage. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: nice bugs and farmhouse notes with noticeable peach and barrel. Taste: along the same lines, VERY bubbly, lots of fermented peaches, finishes with some tannins and woody character. Overall: this one is definitely good, becoming an excellent one while missing carbonation. The best Temporal beer for me so far!

Re-rate: Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazed yellow gold with small white head. Some nice peaches with mild wild yeast character, enjoyable, fair bit of carbonation. Enjoyable. Aug 06, 2022 (from notes; 8/3/8/4/16=3.9): Poured from bottle @ FHF 2022. Hazed gold with small white head. A balanced of sweet stone fruit and mild tartness. Quite nice.

Re-rate: Poured from 330mL bottle. Medium dark brown with very minimal beige head. This brings me back to the base munich wine beer used in Liminal Space that I thought was lacking as a base beer at first, but improved with time (this one has not improved with time, must have been the amburana). Adds some honey and just a hint of vanilla. Okay. Aug 28, 2022 (8/4/7/3/15=3.7): Poured from the tap @ Container Brewing. Medium dark brown with no head. Really nice honey character with mild vanilla and barrel character.
