Associated Venue: Project 53
- Out of business
Established in 2011
A lot has changed since then; we now brew an ever evolving variety of progressive cask beer alongside modern, vibrant beers in can & keg, we now ship our beer further afield, even to different countries, but our loyal audience in the North West keeps us busier than ever and as such we've grown our brewing capacity over time from 100 thousand to 2 million pints per year.
But more than a decade on we are still an independent brewer-owned brewery, passionately crafting beers from our inspiring & beautiful location. Driven by the same energy we have always had, to bring you an ever changing array of bold, vibrant & delicious beer.

Old rating - On tap at Krafty J's in St Helier, Jersey. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a white head. Tastes of tropical fruits. A reasonable Session IPA.

Old rating - On tap at Krafty J's in St Helier, Jersey, marked up as Knowledge IPA. 5.8ABV A good effort at a New England IPA but a little heavy on the citrus for my liking.

Fra cask på Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varer lenge. Mild citrus, florale toner, lett bitterhet og god ff. Slank og med ganske tørr avslutning.

Half a pint while doing the CAMRA Mild Magic challenge. The landlady thought she had ordered a mild for the challenge but it was far from a mild. Not bad but a tad too hoppy for my taste.

Had this beer on a Saturday, although Tuesday would have been more apt. Hazy dark amber beer, last before the train home on a Saturday evening, the beer clip has been taken off after this pour from its wicket too. Decent and crisp enough though. Red ale style taste and aroma.

Clear pale gold with a bubbly / frothy white head and a soft cereal aroma. Grassy, fizzy, a little bit sweet and a little bit bitter

From cask a Lass O’Gowrie 28.03.25. Clear dark golden amber. Creamy off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of medium roasted malt, brittle and slightly harsh caramel. Low hoppiness. I guess this is what someonw would call caramel water.
