Description
Welcome to Healeys! We mix apples and imagination to make delicious food and drink. Deep in the heart of the Cornish countryside, we’re a family-run farm that’s been lovingly making award-winning cyders, wines, spirits, juices, preserves, and sauces for nearly 40 years. Since planting our first trees in 1986, we've grown to become the largest independent cyder-maker in Cornwall and the first distillery for 300 years. Family owned and Cornish born and bred. Whether it’s getting to the core of great flavour or thinking outside the box, we know what it takes to make apples special. And we love welcoming visitors to the farm to discover our Healeys charm themselves.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear light yellow golden colour with little life. The aroma is apples, fresh mixed fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, fresh, crushed apple, herbal, light acidic palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sample from bag in box. Appearance - hazy golden. No head. Nose - fresh green apples. Taste - the apples are a bit more ripe and maybe baked. Palate - light to medium bodied, juicy middle and bitter sweet finish. Overall - nice enough, like.

Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Clear golden colour. Its pear influence is light but evident enough, but perhaps its lovely smooth texture is the greatest asset here. Is fairly sweet.

Box @ Cromwell's Tap House Sausage & Cider Fest. Pale yellow appearance, very sweet desert apple nose. As expected flavour profile is tooth achingly sweet, clean with an oily palate. Could be pear, could be apple, hard to distinguish past the sweetness. Couldn't manage another sip.
