Moorig, malziger Geschmack. Unausgewogen, sperrig und alles andere als ein Genuss. Ist wirklich nicht besonders. Positiv ist nur, dass die Verbreitung auf Franken beschränkt ist und das Zeug es nicht zu mir nach Niederbayern geschafft hat. Das helle Weizen ist einen ganzen Zacken besser (was allerdings keine Kunst ist). Nachtrag: Offenbar fanden das Bier andere auch nicht so toll. Im Herbst 2018 ging die traditionsreiche Brauerei Pleite und wurde geschlossen. Die Markenrechte übernahm Kulmbacher, die auch die Produktion übernehmen werden. Auch wenn ich selbst absolut kein Fan von Kitzmann war, kann ich sehr gut nachvollziehen wie enttäuscht und geschockt man in Erlangen ist. Ein Stück lokaler Identität und Tradition geht verloren...

50cl bottle. A clear pale yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of dry moderate grainy pale malt, straw. Taste of dry grainy malt, straw, hints of floral hops.

500ml bottle. Hazy, amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, yeasty fruity aroma, notes of banana and pear, hints of baked apple, some clove, a minimally phenolic touch. Taste is sweet, yeasty fruity, notes of pear and banana, hints of baked apple, a minimally bready and biscuity malty touch as well. Slightly too sweet.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally bready wheaty, fruity yeasty and minimally spicy aroma, notes of banana, some pear, a touch of clove. Taste is sweet-ish wheaty, yeasty fruity and minimally spicy, notes of banana, hints of pear, a touch of mandarine and clove; slightly creamy texture.

Clear bronze. Aroma is apple juice some bourbon vanilla whiskey dark honey and some spruce. Taste is a bit stale alcoholic. Not so convincing but interesting

Bottle. Oxidized, light sherry, wood aroma. Nice red colour. Fruity, light vegetal base, melanoidin, wood/vanilla, sherry notes, dry, easy drinkable, somewhat simple.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with white head. Aroma is lightly oxidized, caramel, a touch wood. Taste is oxidized, wood, caramel, sweet. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. A bit overdone, and already quite oxidized.

Bottle, thanks Stefan! Golden pour. Aroma of grainy malt, citrus and some buttery herbs. Taste of fresh buttery grain, malt, caramel and grassy citrus. Refreshing.

0,5l bottle at home Vienna gathering shared by jonas, big thanks. light yellow lightly hazy color, small white head. smells earthy, spices, caramel, plums. decent smell. light body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ripe fruits, earthy, spices, plums, light caramel, peppery. finishes light to medium sweet wtih notes of ripe fruits, spices and plums. ok, a bit on the sweet side, light oxidized.
