330 ml Bottle. Pours with a dark amber Color and a nice white head. Nose is malty, slightly sweet fruity, hops. Taste is easy for a Bock beer. very malty, a little grainy and just a little Sweet. Taste is much better than the nose.

Pours light amber from the bottle. The white, frothy head slowly fades. Aroma is grassy, leafy, a touch of honey. Taste is sweet with a light bitterness at the backend. Body is medium, lightly oily. Nothing special.

750ml Bottle. Shared with BeerViking. Pours with a clear dark brown color and a small off-white head. At the beginning, the nose was very restrained. I was expecting some more aroma because of the barrel aging. The nose ist sweet, malty and some hints of wood and chocolate. Taste follows the nose, some yeasty and vanilla flavors. There is no influence of the Cognac Barrel. What a pity. Dry finish.

Bottle from Hol Ab, Südstadt, Hannover. Clear dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and spicy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. I’m generally not a fan of spiced beers, and this one is no exception. 160417
