Alt Pahreser Dunkel, 5,4 %, Flasche von Edeka, Herzogenaurach. - Kupferrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase schönes, eher toastiges als dunkles Malz, warme Karamelsüße, Anklänge an Kirsche und Torf, feine herbale Herbe, mediterrane Kräuter. - Antrunk satt und warm toastmalzig mit ein wenig Schokolade, reifer süßer Frucht, Kirschmarmelade, feinherber Orangenschale, etwas Torf, zart ranzig. Deutlich malzsüß, nur hintergründig herb. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang blasse herbale Herbe. Zart ranziger Nachtrunk. - Angenehm warm und süß toastmalziges Bier, eher Wiener Lager als Dunkles, leider deutlich zu lahm gehopft und etwas unfrisch. (26.6.2020.)

Hofmann Maibock, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Satt goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase tiefes, fettes helles Malz, Honig und beträchtliche aber durch die Malzschwere gedämpfte herbale Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk satt und tief hellmalzig mit Honig und Sahnebonbon, zart rauchig. Deutliche Süße mit Kandiszucker und stattliche Herbe von mediterranen Kräutern und bitterer Orangenschale. Milder rezent, vollmundig; nicht ganz kaschierter Alkohol. Auch im Abgang bleibt die solide Hopfenaromatik von fettem Malz gerahmt. Wuchtiger, malzschwerer und kernig gehopfter Maibock, der an Münchner Starkbiere erinnert. (21.5.2020.)

Das Pils fand ich gar nicht so schlecht. Es hat deutliche hopfig-frische Noten, die vielleicht nicht so verspielt wirken wie manche neue Craftpils, aber durchaus solide und fein zu trinken sind.

Ein Helles, das so richtig normal ist. EIn klassisches helles Lagerbier, das man gut trinken kann, aber auch nicht wirklich einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlässt.

50cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of sweet and moderate strong pale malt, some honey. Taste of sweet pale malt, some honey, grains, mild bitterness.

33cl bottle. A almost clear yellow golden beer with a big white head. Aroma of mild grassy and citrusy hops, pale malt. Taste of fruity mild bitter hops, hay, pale malt, yeast.

Bottle picked up from Bayerisches Bierspezialitäten Pararadies Bienenfleiß and consumed at home Attenkirchen Thursday 5th December 2019 whilst cooking Cheese, Onion and Potato Pie and listening to Richard Dawson 2020. Pours chestnut brown, good clarity. Sweet from the off, nutty, caramel and a little biscuit. Ok.

(Draught at Muted Horn, Neukölln, Berlin, 11 May 2019) Pale golden colour with lasting, white head. Malty nose with bread, grass and fresh herbal hops. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of bread, cereal, grass and fresh herbal hops in a finish with a mild bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a fresh hop presence. Quite enjoyable.

Malt and hops in the aroma. Barnyard present in aroma and taste. Malty, bit hoppy flavor with caramel. Full bodied. Tap: Schmidtbräu Neuhaus. Light golden color. Malty sweetish flavor with only a hint of flowery hops and citrus. Nice and easy going, but not too much character. (6 3 6 3 10 = 2.8)
