Description
In 1901 started Josef and Maria Reh started with a small brewhouse. In 1929 it became necessary to build a new, larger brewery. In 1966-67 the brewery was completely rebuilt, everything was out of date and the technology of brewing had changed. Nowadays is the Reh brewery a modern medium-sized brewery, which is well prepared for the future by constant innovations.

Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty and slightly floral with crackers, white bread, hay, minerals, lemon peal and hints of honey. taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, slightly malty and slightly floral. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet with bready malts and floral honey. Mouthfeel is slightly crisp, round, slightly astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter, grassy and metallic. Amber to copper colored, medium- off white head. Aroma is of malt, some caramel, toffee, bready and light herbal notes. Taste is medium sweet malt, caramel, toffee, grain, light herbal bitterness, bit bready. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit watery.

Recht helles Zwickel, schöne Trübe, ordentliche Feinperlung. In der Nase maischig-malzig, setzt sich im Trunk fort und wird dann bitter mit etwas Restsüße. Mir insgesamt zu unausgewogen und zu krachig.

Clear, ruby colored, medium off white head, good lasting. Aroma is of malt, caramel, dried fruits, bit toasty and roasted. Taste is medium sweet caramel malt, toasted, dried fruits, bit bready, low herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.

Unclear, yellow-golden colored, medium+ white frothy head, long lasting. Aroma is malty, grainy, some bread and sulphur, strawy-grassy hops. Taste is low+ sweet malt, grains and bread, some herbal strawy hops with medium bitterness, dryish finish and bitter hayish aftertaste. Medium to light bodied, average carbonation.

Bottle shared on the train from Nuremberg to Freising during day 3 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2015. Pours clear yellow with a frothy white head. Pretty basic, clean pils, with notes of cereal, flight paper, hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary pale bread in the finish, minimal bitterness. So so.

Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours hazy deep yellow with a big frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some sparse trace on the grass. Smell is slightly malty and floral with wholegrain crackers, rustic bread, hay, dried flowers, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, slightly malty and floral. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, soft, round and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with wholegrain crackers, white sourdough bread, pale honey, hay, minerals and lemon peal.
