Eichhorn Rauchbier, 5,3 %, Flasche von Aquatron, BA. - Orangegold, leicht hefetrüb. - In der Nase mildes Rauchmalz (Schinkenspeck), eingehüllt in sattes helles Malz von warmer Karamelsüße und leichte aber aromatische herbal-zitrusfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk satt toastig-karamelmalzig mit Toffee, Trockenaprikosen und einer dezenten Rauchnote, die sich an der satten Bonbonsüße reibt. Frische herbale Hopfung, ein wenig Orangenschale. Etwas zu stark rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang nur schwache Rauchigkeit und feine fränkische Hopfenherbe. - Ein helles Märzen mit fetter, schon bockähnlicher Malzsüße aber nur milder Rauchigkeit, recht angenehm. (24.4.2021.)

Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Bruna, intensa, schiuma avorio/beige media. Al naso note di nocciola, cacao in polvere, caramello, tostato. In bocca è dolce all'attacco, con note di nocciola in polvere e chiusura appena caffettosa, amara. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Non male.

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of sweet malts, bread, a bit citrusy, medium bitterness.

bottle from meibier.de. Golden colour, tall white head. Lovely hoppy nose. Malty base, pleasant sweetness, lots of resiny-herbal hops, bitter-sweet overall character. Delicious and very moreish.

Eichhorn Pils, Flasche per Post vom Landbierparadies. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase feine grasige und zitrusfruchtige Herbe über zart vanillesüßem hellen Malz, ein wenig dicklich. - Antrunk frisch aber weich zitronig hopfenherb und schön grasig bitter. Feines helles Malz von deutlicher Süße, leicht süßlich-fruchtig, ein Hauch von Honig. Milder rezent, vollmundig, weich. Im Abgang runde grasige und leicht pfeffrige Herbe. - Schönes, aromatisch aber nicht zu stark gehopftes Pilsener süddeutschen Typs, etwas malziger und nicht so schlank. (12.3.2021.)

Leicht süßer, wenig röstiger Beginn. Süffig, geringe Herbe, spritzig. Die Malzigkeit nimmt zu, die Herbe sinkt, etwas Schokolade. Würzig, zum Ende steigt die Intensität an. Mittellanger Abgang. 10/9/9/9/10/9

500ml bottle. Clear, dark copper colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney and grassy, minimally floral hoppy, minimally spicy, mellow malty aroma, a touch of rye spiciness, minimally waxy overtones of orange peel. Taste is piney, minimally grassy hoppy, mellow and minimally spicy malty, hints of rye spiciness, a touch of peanut, subtle sweetness, whiffs of orange and mandarine peel. Slightly oily texture, smooth and soft, silky palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well crafted, a tad too much hop-focussed - good!

On tap at Elementare. Cloudy orange with medium white head. Light smoke, cheese, very weird, something went wrong but can’t put my finger on it. Maybe some vegetables? Sweet. Moderate carbonation. Medium bodied.
