Crystal clear golden and light copper coloured tint with a thinnish, one to two centimetre tall, just off-white head that leaves a nice small lace on the die of the glass. Aroma of crisp grain and light grass notes with a bite of flowers, light caster sugar and a very small amount of fruitiness shows through, but a fairly understated malt note dominates. Light-bodied; Strong fresh-cut grass flavours dominate with a hearty dose of deep grain, some dry yeast and breadiness along with a soft sweetness from some fruits and a mild nutty and rustic profile towards the end. Aftertaste shows some grain, a lot of crisp yeast and bready flavours along with some nice, but relatively subdued sweetness, mainly from caster sugar, but also from a tiny dose of fruits. Overall, a lot of dry, herbal and grassy notes throughout with some yeast, caster sugar and light fruity notes do come through with a bitterness and pungent flavour that makes this seem stronger than it actually is. A nice enough beer, but not worth trying to find if you are in Western Europe at all. I sampled this 50 cL can, from Day #17 of the Costco 2020 Advent Calendar, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-December-2020.

Grain and some mercury, buttery type aroma. Golden pour with fluffy head. Somewhat crisp, but there have been better helleses (is that how you pluralize it) in this advent calendar. Can on day 17.

500 ml can purchased as part of the 2020 Costco Advent Calendar at the Costco in Overland Park, Kansas. Exp 2022/05 printed on the bottom of the can. The pour is a clear golden yellow with a foamy one inch white head. The aroma is metallic, soft toast and some honey. The taste is straw, honey, a hint of floral and a dry finish with a touch of the metallic character from the nose. The palate is light to medium bodied with low carbonation and a flattish metallic finish.
