500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with weak, ruby red glimmer and average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Rather cautious, roasty dark malty, minimally spicy aroma, hints of dark chocolate, liquorice, a touch of cinnamon and ginger. Taste is minimally soapy spicy, roasty dark malty, notes of ginger, a touch of liquorice, weak orange zest and cinnamon overtones. Somehow those spices seem to bounce off from the glass-hard, dark malt body. OK.

Tried at the Deepings beer festival. Golden beer with white head. Aroma is floral taste is light sweet

On cask at sraf. Golden with a thin head. Orange fruits, touching on red fruits. A sort of tangy orange or a sweet redcurrant. Nose better than taste but fairly balanced.

On cask at the sraf. Golden with no head. Citrus but grainy on both nose and taste. Fairly balanced but could be more exciting.

Roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty aroma, a touch of liquorice, caramel, white coffee. Taste is roasty dark malty, subtle sweetness, hints of liquorice, minimally metallic and salty; smooth, minimally sticky palate.
