Bottle picked up Rewe Getrankemarkt in Viechtach consumed at home Thursday 9th March 2023. We had Minced Beef Pies. We're listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. Pours gold with a white head, good clarity. Grassy hops, bitterness ok but could be a little more assertive, fruity, carbonation and mouthfeel fine, light fruity. Ok.

Bottle picked up Rewe Getrankemarkt in Viechtach consumed at home Monday 6th March 2023 after an 8km walk around Freyung and a further visit to the Notar, hopefully the last in relation to the house. We're cooking Pasta, Cherry Tomatoes, Basil and Feta bake. Grrr....meant to crack open the Gessellschaftsbrauerei Helles but inadvertently opened this instead. We're listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music. Pours mid gold, superb clarity, with a large white head, looks great. Smooth and easy drinking but a little bit pedestrian, perhaps I am being a little bit unfair it's fine. A little bit of cereal, a drying fruitiness, but it also has a little bitterness. Fine

Flascherl (Courtesy of MoritzF): Clear, deep golden with an orangey sheen, small persistent white foamy layer, moderate to solid sweet malty and caramelly and mildly toasty nose with a mild, but distinctive herbal-hoppy background; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit fizzy; lingering malty-toasty finish with a herbal-bitter counterpart in the aftertaste. Getrunken als „Hofmark Dunkel“ mit 5,2 % Alk. (laut Etikett). Dunkles Malz – das ist das alles bestimmende Thema bei diesem Bier. Tolle Aromen von Karamalz und Zartbitterschokolade (durch die Gitter mit zartbitter – frei Bahn mit Marzipan). Rauchige Nuancen sind nicht vorhanden, aber mild röstige fliegen vorbei, Frucht ist zu erahnen. Der Hopfen ist ebenfalls kein großes Thema. Der Körper ist eher leicht. Das klingt, wenn man es so liest, vielleicht etwas eindimensional. In Praxis macht das Bier aber richtig Spaß und es kommt da keine Langeweile auf.

Bochum Bottle, mange tak! Golden with light chillhaze, white lace. Light citric, grainy, hay nose. Medium full chewy body, some sweetness, chewy grains, pleasant fruity hop counterpoint.
