Description
The Schlossbrauerei Ellingen with its fine beer specialties has been around since 1690. Experience a piece of our long-standing brewing history with every sip. What makes our beers so unique? FÜRST CARL beers are still brewed by hand in the traditional way in the copper brewhouse of the historic brewery. Our raw materials are natural and come from Ellingen and the region: water from our own well, hops and malt from Ellingen and Franconia. We only brew what we are good at: Franconian beer specialties!

Our family, the princes of Wrede and the team of FÜRST CARL stand behind what we do: first-class beers.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing. Smooth soft grainy beginning. Easy to drink, fruity and refreshing smooth. Easy to drink, fruity with a smooth and slightly sweetish grainy back. No funk, no sourness, moderate sweetish.

Fläschla: Hazy, golden, rapidly collapsing loose white foam, mild grainy-dusty nose with some hoppy and yeasty spots; mild bitter-sweetish flavour with a very delicate acidity, light bodied, not overly soft; slightly lingering grainy-bitter finish. Drinkable, absolutely not good by franconian standards...

Fläschla: Hazy, golden with an orangey sheen, almost medium-sized and quite stable white head, moderate bitter-sweet grainy to bready nose, herbal-fruity hops underneath; almost moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied and a bit fizzy; slightly lingering dryish bitter-sweet finish with bready traces and - again - fruity hops. Not great, but better than many samples of Your usual expensive craft-beer...

Clear amber. Aroma is peach flesh, light fizzy tablet, old hops, sundried moss. Taste is harsh old hop bitterness at first with some funky stale juicy sourness later. Low carbonation, weird fruity (moldy?) finish. Not enjoyable.

Fläschla: Pale golden, hazy, small loose and lacy white head, mild to moderate bitter-sweet grainy-malty nose with a soft - but distinctive - herbal to citrussy background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, pretty soft; slightly lingering soft lemony-herbal finish with some balancing malty Spots. Refreshing franconian Lager...
