Description
The Schlossbrauerei Ellingen with its fine beer specialties has been around since 1690. Experience a piece of our long-standing brewing history with every sip. What makes our beers so unique? FÜRST CARL beers are still brewed by hand in the traditional way in the copper brewhouse of the historic brewery. Our raw materials are natural and come from Ellingen and the region: water from our own well, hops and malt from Ellingen and Franconia. We only brew what we are good at: Franconian beer specialties!
Our family, the princes of Wrede and the team of FÜRST CARL stand behind what we do: first-class beers.

Bottle@RBESG2015, Copenhagen - Amber pour with white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty, some twiggy hoppy notes, pretty basic affair.

Pours a light golden, with minimal head. Malty, smoothy flavor. Enjoyable but nothing special.

0,5 l bottle from Kristall-König. Thanks a lot! Dark golden in the glass, huge white head. Malty on the nose with grain. Starts grainy with sweetness. Malt in the second row. Bready, cookies, low bitterness. Not bad for that kind of beer.

0,5 l bottle from Kristall-König. Thanks a lot! A darkest red brown in the glass, small light tanned head. More nuts than malt on the nose. Starts dark malty, roasted, coffie, caramell and nuts, sweetness. Longlasting taste. Maybe some salty hints in the background. Nice one!

0,5 l bottle from Kristall-König. Thanks a lot! Dark golden in the glass, huge off white head. Sweet grassy nose. Taste is a more thinner structure, dry grain, metallic, sweet dishing soap plus a surprising bitterness for that kind of beer. Can not really satisfy.

Fürst Carl Dunkel, 5,2 %, vom Faß im Schwarzen Bären, Weißenburg i.Bay. (20.5.2021.)

Vom Faß im Schwarzen Bären, Weißenburg i.Bay. Ganz leichte Karamelnoten. Mild rezent, schlank, frisch und süffig. Im Abgang feine grasig-zitronige Herbe. Kaum bitterer, mild hopfenaromatischer Nachtrunk. - Angenehmes, frisch wirkendes, mild aber aromatisch gehopftes Zwickel. Was fehlt, ist etwas Individualität.
