On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has crisp piney hops, citrus zest, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is dry and bitter, with fantastic piney hop expression, some grapefruit zest, and bone dry biscuity malt to balance. Great piney hop expression with a dry, moderate-to-high lingering bitterness. Excellent.

On tap at DownTime Taps, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma reveals a complex and integrated character of toasted pistachio, vanilla, and lush bourbon barrels. Flavour is remarkably complex, with a wonderful integration of vanilla, bourbon, and roasted pistachioβthose nuts really add a nice dimension. Smooth, integrated, pleasantly warming. Excellent.

Bottled 10/10/24, drunk 5/6/26.
Rich, succulent, well-developed toffee and caramel with a touch of vanilla and a faithful, but not-overdone bourbon presence. Spice, spirit, light oak. No alcohol whatsoever.
In the mouth I think it has the perfect texture. Just under syrupy, with plentiful, rich, succulent malt ending sweet and comforting but not too much so. Barrel is ever-present but doesn't interject itself too much, leaving waves of spice and wood on the edges while the main force is the wonderful maltiness. No alcohol, not too sweet. Just kind of everything you want. Only thing they can really improve here is to add complexity to the bourbon character, but as is, it's still delightful.

16 oz can. Aroma is grassy, bready, chalky, floral. Pours hazy golden with a two finger soapy white head with excellent retention. Taste has a beautiful firm herbal hop bitterness backed by a mild candy-like sweetness, finishing very dry. Absolutely everything I look for in a Pilsner.

2024 375mL bottled 8(or 3, hard to tell)/29/24, drunk 4/30/26.
Pretty strong gusher. Not forceful, but it was all over the floor by the time I could go get a sponge and come back. Not a great sign...
Hmmm. Doesn't smell sour, and there's still a good bourbon presence, but it smells like it's probably soured lightly, at least. There's some nutty hazelnut character which is light and tastefully-done. Bourbon is rich, yet restrained and interesting. Maybe this hasn't soured at all? Let's find out.
I think there's a mild infection in the background. Gives it a peppery, sort of raw alcohol-like character, but it's not acidic. Or is that just the hazelnut extract, actual alcohol, and lots of bourbon? The body is still intact. Chewy, full, not syrupy. Decadently sweet, but not even close to cloying. Doesn't really hide the strength well at "only" 9.7% which makes me think there is the aforementioned beginning of some infection. Whatever the case, it hasn't taken hold much and this is still quite pleasant with a lovely bourbon character, tons of toffee and chocolate and very tastefully-done hazelnut.
