375mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / basically black with a small tan head. Aroma is wonderfully rich, with lush bourbon, vanilla, dark cocoa, toasted pecans, and molasses. Flavour likewise wonderfully rich, with deep syrupy cocoa, gentle toasted pecans, vanilla, and bourbon, finishing on the slightly sweeter side with plenty of vanilla and dark dried fruits. Complex, harmonious, and not brutal. Excellent.

375ml bottle, 2024 vintage. Toffee aroma with notes of hazelnut, caramel, cocoa, vanilla, bourbon and oak. Pours deep brown with a half a finger of mocha brown head that has good retention and decent lacing. Starts with rich toffee, hazelnut, cocoa and oak flavors as well as having a rich, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with caramel, bourbon and vanilla flavors as well as a hint of warming booziness at the end. Quite wonderful.

12 oz can. Aroma is chalky, grassy. Pours hazy golden with a two finger soapy off-white head with great retention. Taste has some light hoppy bitterness around the edges with subdued malt sweetness alongside. Crisp, clean, and refreshing. What every basic pale lager should aspire to.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear bright gold with a white head. Aroma of mixed citrus with zest notes. Med body, no more. Pale malt is nicely obscured by bitterness. Relatively moderate bitterness for a WCIPA IMHO. Flavor is citrus pith with a pine accompaniment. Maybe a touch of resin. Pleasant ale.

On tap at Beer O’Clock, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals a nice white wine hop tang to the hop expression, some pine, and soft biscuity malt underbelly. Flavour is much the same, with a nice, soft piney hop expression, some gooseberry, and dry biscuity malt base. White wine-like piney finish too. Excellent.
