On tap at North Park - Bankers Hill, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma has some nice bugs, hay, and subtle, faded stone fruit. Flavour is pretty complex and pungent, with big complex bugs, stone fruit, loads of oak, and hay. Really wonderful cohesion here—perfectly incorporated fruit, nicely blended, great oak character, complex bugs. Wonderful.

Draft at Loyal Legion. Clear golden pour, persistent silky white head, rings of lacing. Light, smooth grainy aroma is followed by a subtle biscuity flavor with a luscious creamy feel

375 c&c from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a transient tan head. Aroma has cognac, dark malt and a little yeast/spice. Approaching full bodied. Not excessively sweet. The cognac seems to smooth out the maltiness. A little bitterness/astringency from wood. A very smooth brandiness that almost suggests calvados. Light yeast/spice. A light hint of pluminess. I think banana lurks. Exquisite flavor.

375mL bottle, 2023, drunk 12/3/25, as pictured.
Rich, cinnamony Amburana with light bourbon, light fudge and mild spiciness. hints of vanilla, toast and caramel with easygoing barrel, no alcohol or big sugariness. Amburana through and through, but not to the point of dominance.
Soft, chocolatey, fudgey, with caramel and vanilla. Mild bourbon character but bigger Amburana. Sweet, caramelly malt with hints of roast but mostly fudge and dark chocolate. I wouldn't hate a bit more attenuation and more spice from bourbon, but it's hard to argue with the Amburana here.

500ml bottle from Tavour. Dark brown pour, thin beige head. Big, sweet aroma, prunes, fermented grapes. Taste is mellow, barrel notes, the cognac really smoothing out the quad. Warming, and a real pleasure to drink.

2021 bottle drunk 11/23/25.
Clear, dark. Medium, light tan head.
Really tasteful adjuncts. Bourbon is rich and tasteful too. Dark chocolate, vanilla and light fudge with no alcohol.
Good mix of complex flavors and bourbon richness with well-attenuated malts but good depth remaining. Lots of dark chocolate, mild chai and rich vanilla with lingering bourbon and no alcohol.

Bottle. Pours clear near black, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is pretty prominent amburana, spicy, fudge, bourbon. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light plus bitter. Medium plus body. Good, but not up the high bar set by Firestone Walker.

Very resiny nose, which surprises, not really giving the expected Pacific hoparomas. Still a very pleasing beer.
