Orange peel and caramel nose, rich but muddled. Clear deep amber, thick yellow head. Doughy sweet malt with a grapefruit accent. Medium body, oily, and smooth. Not a lot of complexity, but super tasty. Wonderful balance. Sort of what I would envision IPAs should be.

Sample during "Ellen's Blue Hair Birthday Bonanza!" on 12/12/2014. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of herbal yeast, fruit and biscuit malt. Slight hops in the background. The finish is fruity with a grassy yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft at Spacebar. Poured a near pitch black, maybe dark cola color with a small creamy tan head. Roasted malts, light dark chocolate, touch of bitter coffee. Light roasted sweetness. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, compliments of shrubber85, poured into a shaker. Black with small dark brown highlights and medium/small light brown head. Aroma is light lactose, medium body, medium carbonation, slightly creamy texture, and good medium-bubble lacing. Taste is roasted malt, some sweet potato, and hints of lactose. Not overly sweet, pretty good, shrubber85 with a state tick.

Nice friendly somewhat tart aroma from a bottle. Lots of visible carbonation in this slight hazy yellow brew. tremendous amount of precipitants floating around with the bubbly action. Big rocky head, overall a nice visible presentation. From the start a quite easy going brew on the palate. Tho it does have a few of those negative ale attributes it comes across rather friendly. It also hides the alky content very well, its mild mannered for 9% fer sure. Better be careful of this one! Goes down way too easy. Could not really be 9%! Aroma goes slightly metallic near the finish. Very little medicinal feel in this one. Good overall balanced saisy. Better than expected.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan body. Fluffy, steady white head. Kind of standard antiquated aroma. A decent enough IPA, some earthy APA characteristics as well. Pine, mild citrus, Its OK, but not cutting it for 2014.
