Draft at Tusk & trotter as Sweet Potato Cream Stout. Hazy maroon brown color, medium beige had. Aroma of chocolate milk, light coffee. Taste is creamy, sweet, herbal, a bit fruity. Interesting.

Slightly hazy gold body under a tall, frothy, off-white head. Light citrus hop aroma. The flavor is lightly bitter with malt in support. This straddles the APA - IPA line.

Bottle. Lactic caramel malt and pine aroma. Amber with large head. Sweet orange caramel malt and lightly bitter pine/alcohol flavor. Not bad but nothing special.

Bottle. Lactic chocolate malt, ash and sweet potato aroma. Black with moderate long lasting tan head. Sweet cocoa malt and roasted sweet potato flavor. Lightly bitter ash finish. Light body. Not bad - would have liked more body.

Bottle. A- Malty, caramel, burnt sugar. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Malty, caramel, roasty, slightly sweet. P- Light body, thin texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- I’ve been intrigued and wanting to try this beer since I started drinking beer. Damn, if I wasn’t let down. But that seems to be the case whenever you want to try something so bad. I love love love pecans and was hoping for a nice nuttiness to this....I could not even taste a hint of nuttiness. Sigh. Thin on the body and pretty much just malty and caramel notes. The color is gorgeous but the beer overall just left way too much to be desired. Almost, Lazy Magnolia, almost.

Bottle, courtesy of Jackl – thanks! Pours a fuzzy copper orange topped with a monster of a pillowy beige head. Good lacing. Nose is fresh grapefruit, a little floral, and pale malts. A softer IPA in flavor, grapefruit without the edge and tropical fruit. Mild in bitterness. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Pour is a nice orange with a fairly large head and aromas of slightly skunky and punchy citrus hops with a nice orange edge to them. Flavor has a bit of a grainy edge but ends with nice tropical and citrus hops.

Pour is a black with a very small tan head. Aroma is a decent roast malt with some bitter chocolate. Flavor is a nice char malt with some sweetness and caramel. I did not get an sweet potato but that’s alright it’s not my favorite thing. Decent stout though. This beer from this brewer I thought I would like the least I actually liked this best.
